Hi all, I started this thread for specifically new graduates trying to get into a residency program at Memorial Hermann. I have an interview next week at their Northeast location new graduate program. Please share any information about your experiences. I am out of state and will be going to Houston the day before the interview. The residency program does not state any area of specialty. Do they allocate nurses to various areas of specialty or you get to pick after you are offered a job? Thanks in advance.

Glad there is a thread here where we can encourage each other. I applied for 9 positions, One of my positions has changed to under hiring dept review. Crossing my fingers hoping to get an interview. Good luck everyone!

@ ABSN2be and acunha. I live in San diego too, Mission Valley/Kearny Mesa Area. I would love to car pool. I was reading through the car pooling parking instructions, they give one car pool permit to one car (all car poolers have to be present at the office to get the permit). I am not sure if the permit stays with the car or it can be moved around. That would be nice if it can be moved around then we can look for one more person and car pool four people that would mean each person drives one week per month.( probably three times in a week) In a semester each person will have driven for four weeks only saving gas for twelve weeks ( I don't know if this makes sense). I think we should wait and get the class schedule first to make sure it works for everyone. looking forward to meeting all of you on Monday. Yes, you are right San Marcos campus is Cohort 14.

I am attending orientation on 10th Monday at San Marcos. I thought we were going to have a combined orientation for both campuses. I guess not. I wish you all the best as we embark on this journey.... Keep us updated on how the orientation goes at Temecula.

Hi everyone, I am so excited I finally got accepted in ABSN program at San Marcos Campus. Thanks all for your help and encouraging posts. And for those still waiting, I wish you good luck. Also just to let you know, they will be now accepting another cohort in Summer (June 2013) and Fall (September 2013) at Temecula and Spring 2013 will be the last Spring Cohort to be accepted at Temecula. Can't wait to meet you all.

Hi kaolla56, How many points did you have. I was hoping that i would be accepted with 31 points since I was above the previous average but I havent heard any news yet. I guess I will have to retake the teas too.

Thanks for sharing lanibear, I think I will resit my teas. I have a 76.9. My GPA for prereqs and last 60 is around 3.5. If I am doing it right. Did you ask them about the GPA's and calculation to be sure of what they were using or you just calculated it yourself?

Hi Peacec, Congratulations, when did you receive the acceptance email? I submitted my O-chem transcripts three weeks ago and I was hoping to get my acceptance this month. Please share your GPA for your prereqs, last 60 and Teas V. Anybody else willing to share please let me know so that I can gauge myself. I am thinking may be I should resit the Teas exam. I passed but I feel like that is the only thing that I can do to hike up my points.

Congratulations Lanibear. How long did you have to wait from the time you gave them your last transcripts to acceptance. I just turned in my last transcript yesterday and I feel so anxious. I keep checking my email...

Hi, that is is easy, you have two choices, 1st choice: you can block her on Fb and she will never see you again, she will think that you left FB. BUT if she logs in through another account she can see that you are still in FB, so that makes it tricky, 2 choice, you can create a group lets say (work boss) add herin that group and change settings in such a way that she cannot see your photos, updates on FB, status etc...she will think that you are not active on FB. This way even if you have mutual friends she will not be able to see your conversations with them. Then after this you can live your life with no worries that someone is watching all your moves.

Are they gonna take the last 60 units of my masters or bachelors. I am trying to calculate my gpa too. And did you guys take TEAS V? please let me know.....i am shooting at the fall 2012 cohort coz i still have organic chem to take....

Hi all, I am new here, I am aiming at getting into the Fall 2012 cohort, any campus will work for me. Just looking into getting in the program. I have all my prerequisites except organic chemistry. I am trying to see if i can take it at the community college ( fundametals of chem in spring and organic chem in summer). Any ideas on shorter routes?....Taken Teas V too, got high 70s thinking of retaking it to get better scores. Anyone with ideas on the average perfomance for Teas V in this college?....ideas please. Thanks....
