  1. My family and I are firm believers of the PVT! My father took the NCLEX-RN on the 27th, and after a few hours, we did the PVT and got the "good pop up". Then we did the "Quick Result" option on the 29th, and he passed! Thank God! =D PVT is a blessing to our family; it has helped us to calm our nerves. I'm currently a nursing student, and I'm still hanging in there, and hoping and praying by God's grace, I'd graduate in summer 2012. Cheers to all the new RNs. God bless us all!
  2. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I just got my ACCEPTANCE LETTER!!! :clpty:

  5. Sweetheart, fight for what you truly want. Be completely honest to yourself. Choosing a career will be a great part/role of your future. You're pretty young, take it easy. I waited for more than four years for the nursing program, and I am truly thankful and grateful that I've finally made it in the program. I've been through alot, and I have taken courses that are equivalent to three Associate degrees. I even came to a point where I felt soooo hopeless, but I remembered what my extremely nice advisor told me... She said, "Never give up on things that your heart truly desire." and prayers-- those helped alot. Here I am, taking nursing classes-- finally! Go for it!!! :hpygrp:
  6. Both. I feel very positive that I'll be invited next year. If not, probably it's not for me... I have been already invited for the Respiratory program for Fall 2010, I might just go for it. Time will tell.
  7. I went to the nursing counselling office early today (Nov. 10, 2009). They confirmed that the number of admissions for the Winter 2010 (40), Spring 2010 (80), Fall 2010 (160), Winter 2011 (80), & Spring 2011 (80) has been officially approved from the nursing department itself. :yeah:Nursing program, here I come!!! I'll always be optimistic about this. :loveya:
  8. Winter: 40 Spring: 80 Fall: 160 They said, for now, this is what they have planned. I do hope it doesn't change.
  9. Congratulations!!! (^_^) Hope I get mine as well. I do believe we'll get there someday. Cheers to Future HFCC RNs!
  10. You mean, our spot could change on the list? This makes me worry now.
  11. Jim, this kinda made me worry. On 08/10, they told you that you were 114 on the list... and just on your recent visit, they told you that you're 120 on the list. I strongly suggest that you double check on this for your own good.
  12. i completely understand your frustration. but this time, (moderator edit of name) said that they'd be sending the invitation for the winter batch pretty soon, and they'd be only admitting 40 for the winter semester (this number is definite). as for the spring batch, it is definite that they would have a "spring semester" which is great (before they were undecided about this), but the number might change, but the least that they would admit is 80. hope this helps. find your number on the list. let's be optimistic. we'll get there.
  13. Hey everyone. BIG NEWS!!! Okay, I've been in and out of the office since I've got the letter stating they have extended their waiting list. I have never been given false hope, but rather say some estimate number of admissions for the nursing program. Finally, just yesterday... I got the definite number of students for the Fall and Spring batch of 2010. This is their definite decision for the winter and spring batch: they'll be admitting 40 for this winter of 2010 and 80 for the Spring of 2010. I'll be called for the Fall of 2010. Yipee!!!
  14. Hi there everyone... Right now, I feel like all of my energy has been drained out after reading this letter that I've just received from HFCC today saying that I may have to wait for 2 years or more. =( Bummer... I was in the waiting list last Oct 2008. I don't know what to do right now. I'm disappointed. I need some encouragement. Thanks. Have a blessed day to all.
  15. Thank you very much. I truly appreciate it. I'm done with all of my pre-reqs right now. Just waiting to be invited. :urgycld:
