  3. Hey! I will be starting 4th term on Aug 5th I think. Its crazy, I started this when I started my first week and here I am about to start 4th term...what a ride it had been whew! So you are bout to grad in Nov too? Futurenurse0?
  4. Hello all, I last posted here back in July 29, 2009 and was about to start the program at WCC. At this point I am in the 3rd term (out of 4) and I can really look back and say for the most part it has been a wonderful life changing experience for me. I dont have your everyday story, being as of 05' I was homeless so I look at everything different from your student who has mommy and daddy paying for everything, or I dont have any help from family friends or anything. I basically had to tough it out and bust my tail working graveyard 40 hours a week + go to class full time. From my perspective, WCC is the best route to go for everyday people that have worked thier tales off and never had the opportunity to go to college and lived the hard knock like and want to change thier lives. I had my ups and downs but it all worked out in the end and in 6 months I will be graduating. Talk about being thankful the school exists.... a.h.
  5. Ok, Thanks for the info. So with UCLA doing that, it is a big sign that the hiring freeze is about to be lifted?
  6. Hey Rachel, Your post is scaring me. I am going to school in San Jose and will grad in November. I planned on moving to L.A. to work. So you still have not found a job?
  7. I should be graduating in November...
  8. Wow, I havent updated this in forever! Now I am starting my 3rd term Monday! One more to go after this one! I can't believe it. Time has been flying by!
  9. Wow how times flies. Since I first posted this it was week one. Now I have about 3 weeks till my first semester is over. I can't lie I am pretty beat up. I work full time also..............but I am hanging in there. I can't wait till graduation in Nov 2010!
  10. Congrats! I hope everything works out for you. Keep in touch and let me know how it goes! I will do the same. We are getting issued our 20+ books today and getting down to the nitty gritty lol.
  11. Hello, My name is Dren and I just started my first week off school at Western Career College here in San Jose California:yeah:. I am anxious to say the least. It was a hell of a first week, I had so many problems with financial aid that I almost didn't get in. But seems like everything worked out. Anyway...Ill be coming on here everyday and updating until I graduate. Anyone else go to Western Career College?
  12. Hello, I am about to start the LVN program at Western. I will keep you posted how it goes. I start school on the 27th of this month (July 09) So far everyone seems hella cool

  14. I agree with him
  15. I am about to start school in July. I am drawing un employment benefits right now, but how do I keep money coming in while in school. Does anyone know of any cost of living grants or loans I can get while in school? I got one pell grant but it goes to the school. Is there any help that I can get to survive. It would seem like it would be because of the nursing shortage. I live in San Jose California. I appreciate any ideas. This is my first time to this site... Adrian
