Last minute orders!
Seems to me that people forget that nursing is a 24 hour job. 1830 would be the best time to sign off your orders for the 12 hours you worked that is how I have always had my nurses do it. It makes the most sense because you are trying to wrap things up and complete you tasks to be prepared to give an accurate report. Again nursing is a 24 hour job, unless it is stat, and always communicate with your physicians to understand why it is stat, they do tend to wright stat just to make sure its done today and not tommorow.

Nurses who can't communicate with their Patients
Did you know that there are states that will allow the nurse to take the test in their own language and not require them to pass an english test. I have known many asian nurses to get by with doing this.

Bullying ?
In a situation like you need to by pass the chain of commands and go to HR. Unless you absoutly feel comfortable talking to your director. That is something only you know. Check you hospital/place of employment policy reguarding harrassment to ensure you are following procedure. Good luck, Stand up for what is right

Exuse me while I gloat...just a little
Congrats to you. Glad all worked out, yu deserve this. Just tell you friends to be aware that even in the most neede professionmany hospitals have put a hiring freeze in place for the time being. Even medical is taking a beeting right now finacially. There are several hospitals in my area that are not looking to hire as many grads as usual until things pick back up, which they will as summer continues to pick up. So just tell them to keep applying and something will happen in the next 2 months. Again congrats there's nothing like that first success.

Advice needed!!! New graduate....1st interview!!!
On an interview they like to know a little bit about you and will ask. Have a plan of what you would like to be doing in 5 years as far as nursing is concerned. Even though you are a grad still sell yourself. Speak highly of you graduating GPA and how well you picked up certain skills, and you patient satisfaction skills. Just be pleasant, outgoing, and relaxed. You'll do great. BTW all jobs pay you nursing pay while you follow and do nothing in orientation....LOL
