I graduated in 2010. Took my nclex on feb 19th. I am having a hard time finding a job in the sacramento area. Does anyone have any tips for me or places that may be hiring? I know i am probably limitted to SNF. But i am open to anything at this point. Am i looking at the wrong places for jobs? Any websites i haven't used? Indeed, monster, craigslist. This is driving me crazy. When i was is schhol they top us there are several openings available, but every ad i see requires a year experience. Thanks in advance for any advise.

How was it only $5900? for the first academic year its $22563 - $9500 Stafford and it would be $13063. Am I adding something up wrong? I just met with financial aid today, but I don't have my appointment until Tuesday. I looked at the enrollment agreement and I am freaking out a little bit now. I know that I will get the $9500 from Stafford loans but where did you get the rest of the money($7163) from @ashlie2144 ? Can someone tell me how this works who has gone through it already? I know I don't qualify for any grants because I made to much money last year.

Does anyone know if there is a discount on tuition if you have already taken the prerequisites?

no when did you get that and for which location? I never actually completed an application. I just went in took my hesi test and passed, then they did the background and then I interviewed with the DON

So I talked with my rep today and he said that they have made a decision as to who is going to be in the class and they are mailing letters this week. He said that the reps have no idea of who got accepted. Its funny one week he says I have nothing to worry about and then the next time I talk to him he says he has no idea who is going to be in the class. I wish he would have said he had no idea from the beginning, because he got my hopes up and now I am having doubts. My emotions are all over the place I wish they could just call us and give us a definite answer. The waiting is killing me....

If they are interviewing more people usually that means they don't have enough people to fill the class(especially if a lot of people dropped out). Hopefully that is the case and we are all in and they just are looking for more people to fill the class. Happy Birthday Ashlie :)

ashlie2144, i totally agree. I got totally prepared for an interview, but it was just a couple of questions like if you are ok with driving to clinicals that could be up to a hour and a half away. It didn't really feel like an interview more of just kind of getting to know you and are you sure you want to go to our school. The DON was really nice and I hope I get accepted. My birthday is just days before yours on the 5th of October, hopefully we get a nice birthday letter in the mail.
