  1. I'm in the CNL program at UMD right now and I think the most important thing to remember is that a CNL is still an entry level nurse. You will be competing for the same jobs as other new nurses and have just as much to learn when you start! The difference is an ADDED (not replaced) emphasis on critical thinking - which, after some experience, will help you "climb the ladder" but more importantly - help promote evidenced based practice! We get lots of fundamental skills practice - the same as the BSN students - but we have a have a few extra projects/papers on top of that! Its nice to be in a group of people with one career behind them already and be coming back to school after some time. Hope that helps :)
  2. NOt at all as long as it Khaki, we have so many different shade in my lab group. I remember how excited I was when I got accepted and went through all these...:) ...I just finished my last exam today and I felt so great that's it's over. PM me if you want sepecific questions :)
  3. White top and khaki pant will be our uniform color. Shoes....will be any brand as long as it's white.
  4. Mean while, go back and take a look on your A&P materials, you will need to know them for especially Health Assessment and pathos. Enjoy the break because it will be hard to fine when the school is started. If any questions for anything please ask. I was in your shoes last year and I am back to help out.

  9. Bluelimunkie, For the lab coat, you wear the business casual underneath. You can wear either the School uniform or business casual+ lab coat to the stimulation lab. That's what I understand anyway from Baltimore campus orientation. Blondell

  21. Good for you Mother_.. Now it's another level of waiting game, ugh!
  22. My GPA from previous degree( Hotel and tourism management ) 3.4. Science GPA 4.00 and 2 years of CNA experience. I hope to hear something soon.
  23. Nothing change as well although mine has been"committee Ready" almost a week now. Mother_matters: congrats for getting accepted into another program. At lease you have something in your hand.
  24. I didn't know when my Decision status changed but I just log in today and it's Decision: Committee ready. Getting nervous here!
  25. Mine is still "Complete Ready For Review" I sent all documents in by Sep1.(accident about my official toefl score, they never got it so I need to resent it again). If my status never change that's mean I have high chance that I won't get in? Committee Ready is only for people who have a chance to get in or it's for everyone. By the way, the sciences GPA will include chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology I and II, Microbiology only.
