  1. I have to say that is really kind of selfish of your family. If this is what they are used to, they will have to do without for the next 2 years. I am in my second year of NS and it is tough, but I find time for the family so they don't feel so neglected. I have a husband, a 2 and a 3 year old. NS really is all about the family support. I would suggest seeing if there is someone within the extended family that can help out. When you start clinicals, the care plans really do take a long time. I go to clinicals on the weekends, so those weekends I barely see my family. My husband knows that he needs to take the kids to go and do things to get them out of the house when I am home. If you don't have the family support needed for NS, it is going to be either extremely exhausting, if not impossible to complete. Family support makes it easier for you and the family if they know what you are going through. All families should be warned how hard it is going to be before NS is started.
  2. Make sure your grades are up there, especially since you are applying without having A&PII done. I don't know what your schedule it, but I took A&PI last summer, and Micro and A&PII in the Fall. That way I had all of my courses done before I even applied... It wasn't too bad taking them together in the fall. I didn't want to take my chances of not getting in because of one course not being done! Because I am not a Straight A student!!!
  3. There were 484 applicants this year. I have been told that only about 10% shouldn't be applying. So the other 90% are competitive. I would also suggest having all classes done by the end of december, at least all of the sciences and at least 3 of the generals. better chances of getting in.
  4. Me too! I will be in the E/W program as well, and going to orientation on the 28th also!!! Congrats to US!
  5. I am in the E/W program... Now we can breathe a sigh of relief! For now anyways!
  6. Me too!!! I am glad we don't have to wait anymore!!!
  7. Congrats to you!!! I am with Matt, also waiting to hear from NHCC! This waiting sucks! Oh well only a couple of weeks to go if what Matt heard from NHCC is true!
  8. Let me know when you recieve a letter!!! And I will do the same!
  9. I also applied for the nights and weekend program... I also have all of my classes done to get into the program, but am not sure if my grades are going to cut it. I talked to Tom and he said I should apply, he said they were competitive, I just don't know if they are competitive enough. Hopefully we both get it. You shouldn't have any problem. Are you taking any classes now? Or do you have this semester off? I hate the wait... I am getting too anxious for a letter in the mail, and I still have at least another month to go!
  10. do you have all your classes done?
  11. Is anyone else in here trying to get in for Fall 09?
  12. I think that Micro was easier than both A&P's. I took it during the Fall 08 and it wasn't too bad. I took A&P1 last summer and it was hard. Mainly for the fact that it was soooo much info squeezed into 8 weeks! But I am mainly a B student. Would have gotten an A in Micro, but I completely bombed one of my tests. If you have Dr. Rich in the summer, it wouldn't be too bad. I didn't work during school, but I had a one year old and a newborn to take care of... It wasn't too bad. I would suggest a summer course especially if it is a matter of only having one course left to apply for the program. I applied for the Fall 09 start, but don't think I will get in. There were 484 applicants this year for only 130 spots!

I am curious... The program is getting hard and harder to get into. I have applied for Fall 2009 Start and don't think i will get in. I feel that I have good grades, but don't think they are good enough. I am wondering when everyone who have gotten accepted, got their acceptance letters. Did it take long? I know that May 1st is the deadline for NHCC to get the letters out. But I was curious when everyone got theirs??? Thanks
