I also wonder how you know if you should go from ADN to BSN then MSN, or use the bridge program and go directly to MSN. I already have a BS in education and want to teach one day, but unsure about avenue to take. Any advice? Jules52
  2. I am an ADN, but also have a BS in education. I am wondering how it is best to go toward getting the MS so I can teach. Should I use the bridge program from ADN to MSN or go 1st thro the BSN program? I have talked to several and get different answers from erveryone. Julie G in NE
  3. I think the BSN helped prepare you, anyway from what I see. I got my ADN and it seems the BSN people have more exprience due to the clinicals they do that we did not. I might think about being a CNA for a few years first. You get lots of experience that way and learn from ground up. I am trying to find an online school to get my MSN from now and having a hard time deciding. I already have a BS in education so need a bridge course, but its hard deciding and siphoning thro all the schools out there.
  4. Thank you. It seems I have so much to cram into my head. I do not feel my school prepared me at all, so now playingcatch up. My job needs me to get this done soon!
  5. has anyone used these flashcards, Mometrix Test Preperation? I thought may be they might help me pass my 2nd time.
  6. so maybe I am not understanding the trick. How do you actually/exactly do it? It says I failed.
  7. Took my test July 1, logged into my acccount thro Pearson on the 3rd and got results. If they are not up yet, it says not available, but if ready it lets you have option to enter credit card and pay $7.95 to find out. I failed. That image is burned into by brain. I now wonder what to do different to prepare for the next time. I had a lot of med questions and that is my weakness. There were meds on there I did not know and some I knew but could not remember exactly so I missed. Is there an easy way to learn pharmacology and what should I do to prepare for the next NCLEX? It is defeating and you want to just give up and curl into a ball but one must go on and figure out what to do next. Just hope and pray the money holds out in the meantime and someone will hire you!
  8. How old you are is irrelevant, it's what is in your heart. You want to do something, do it, no matter what your birthday is.
  9. Absolutely! We will all get to the place where we will look back and say, "I wish I would have done ......" Live for no, or at least few regrets. Whatever age, if it's what you want to do and dream about, do it, even if you only work for a short time. I was 57 when I graduated as an RN. I too stopped to have kids, which I would do over. I always dreamed of working in an ER as an RN, and now I will be as soon as I pass boards! So, go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. 46 is not too old. I went to LPN school in 1981, worked a couple years then raised a family. Renewed my license in 1999 and went back to work until recently when the research company I worked with called it quits. I got a divorce and went back to school to fulfill the dream I had been harboring for 30 years. I just graduated and am now studying for the NCLEX. I just got a job today working in the hospital on the Ortho floor. It is never too late if that is what you want to do. A person can achieve whatever it is they want if they truly want it. Make it yours!
