  1. How soon will the PVT work after taking the exam? Can I check it as soon as I get to my car? Has anyone checked it that quick?
  2. I was pinned on 8/15 and my school supposedly sent our names in on 8/29. My classmates and myself are frustrated that it is taking so long to get our ATTs. Did you get yours yet?

How's the new RN grad job market? Are most of you finding jobs?
  4. Anyone get their email with orientation info yet?
  5. Mine is dated 10/9 also but postmarked yesterday. I live in Keystone Heights. Where does everyone else live?

  7. Got my letter today! I'm in!!!!
  8. Any word yet? I am really having a hard time waiting to know if I got in. It's like my life is on hold!

Too bad! Men's medium is too tight across the chest. Glad to see the nursing profession is attracting more men. I hate working with only women. Women have a tendency to be mean to each other for some reason.

What size? White for hospital or blue polo shirt?

Letters should go out the end of next week or beginning of the following week. Keep your fingers crossed.

That's great you had so many interviews. I plan to network and try to get a part time patient care tech job during school to get my foot in the door. Good luck finding your dream job! Post back to keep us updated.

Congratulations! That is great. SJRCC must be doing something right. Did you go to OP or Palatka? How is the job market for new grads?
  14. Thanks! Maybe we will hear from others.

LPNtoRN27 - how many points did you have? NET scores and GPA? If you don't mind sharing. I am trying to figure out where I stand compared to others. 156 points, 3.56 GPA, 84%/92% NET are mine .

Did the Nursing Dept say mid-November recently? I think it will take longer than last time because this is the first application period with new admissions guidelines. Just my opinion. When I turned in my application I was told the end of October so if they now say November something must be delaying the selection process.
  17. I feel better after reading your post. I am going to retake one of the classes I got a B in to bump up my GPA if I don't get in this time. Why don't you start a new thread titled like you suggested.
  18. I am not expecting to hear as early as next week because they told me in the Palatka Nursing office that it would be the end of October. Since this is the first class applying under the new points and rating system it may take every bit of October to sort through the applications. There are about 900 students with nursing as their declared major and more than 200 usually apply. Competition is tough for all of us. Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer. I hope we hear next week one way or the other. Waiting is not one of my best attributes! The student handing her application in at the same time as me had 167 points. Don't know her GPA or NET. That made me discouraged. What if there are 35 more applicants with points that high? But what if she had the highest points then we all have a chance! I have analyzed it to death including an Excel spreadsheet with about 12 different points scenarios. Wish we had more applicants on this forum to give feedback. I hope all of us posting here get in! Good luck!!!
  19. Great GPA! How did you do on the NET?
  20. I applied for Spring 2010 with 155 points, 3.57 GPA, 92%/84% NET scores and I am nervous, too. I want this so bad and it is hard to wait on a letter. They said not to expect a letter until the end of October. I am also taking Professions of Caring to add 5 points for next time. I would love to hear from others that applied. Good luck!

Has all of your class gotten jobs yet?
  22. Thanks for the input. Great gpa! Are you taking Professions of Caring this Fall to increase your points in case you don't get in for Spring? I signed up just in case...it adds 5 points for a grade of B or A.
  23. Never in all my born days have I found anyone as obsessed with school supplies as I am.. Until today! Happy, Happy, Happy!
  24. This is good for me. I took Chemistry and College Algebra. I signed up for professions of caring this fall to add 5 points in case I don't get in for Spring2010. This puts my points at 156 on the new system. 3.5 gpa, 95% composite on NET, 84% reading. Hope it is good enough! What does everyone else look like?
