Does anyone know how hard the Mass RPN/LPN exam is and what study guides were used.
my teacher gave me a web site that will have similar questions to the PN exam it is ASITest.ca, i havent looked at it yet but the people in my class said that it was helpful, the test varies in every province and i am in ontarioso depending what province your in the material on the exam could change from mine, not sure. you could maybe go to your local college and see if the bookstore has a book that offers a review book or ask the nursing cooridinator there for some advice. i bought the Mosby's comprehensive review of practical nursing and well it covers pretty much the whole program, the ISBN # is 0-323-01166-7, try looking it up on the mosby website or evolver website, hope this helps good luck

RPN questions
hey, i am a second year full time RPN student, i'll be honest its tough there is a lot of work you have to competely buckle down. when i first began we started out with a class of around 50 or so and now we have only 28. you really have to apply yourself. its alot of fun and the freindships i have made are priceless. just dont put off homework or your readings off to the last minute it is realy easy to get put behind. as for the pay well we had a guest speaker from the RPNAO and she was realy helpful, she said that it is pretty much $23 to start, hope this helps good luck:p

I've Had It! Nursing is NOT what it use to be!
i cant help but feel guilty when i read your postings, i was one of those family members and my father was in ICU i camped out in the visitors room because if he was going to die i wanted to be there. i asked alot of questions because i was scared and it kind of gave me some comfort having answers. when i look back i hope that i wasnt that type of person. what i am trying to say is that i respected those nurses and they are the ones who inspired me to enter the profession, so i understand that you may come across family members that are intollerable, but dont forget the ones that you have shown comfort and have left an impact on their lives. Speaking as the family member your care and dedication is remembered and definately appreciated.

How much did your education cost?
i am in canada and in the RPN program, i paid $2500 for the program and $1000 in books first year. Second year $2700 and the books so far$200. The BSCN program is outragous, $4600 a year for four years without books.
