  1. Recently hospitals have been replacing O.R. nurses with surgical techs because their about 10$ an hour cheaper to keep on. I would suggest getting your R.N. then going bAck for 2 more semesters and get your registered nurse first assist (RNFA)
  2. yes i work the 11-7 veryyy busy here in florida
  3. I get 24/hr plus another 5.50 for the 11-7 shift. i have less than a years experience but this is in florida. and if you want to continue education the hospital pays 100% of school costs. also, their currently offering $7500 signing bonuses to nurses with at least 2 years experience.
  4. If you live a busy lifestyle try and cut the things out that dont matter. example: seeing your significant other EVERYDAY. going out with freinds. going to partys. just stop doing things that dont matter, this is going to be your career afterall. school is hard just like any other class but if you want to be a nurse it will be cake.
  5. I work OR in Florida and just graduated in may of '08, I currently pull in $24 an hour, if you work the 11-7 like me add another $5.50.
