Moving to Guam
Hi KaliRN, I'd like to ask you a few questions, but I'm not sure how to PM. Can you PM me or email me at [email protected]? My husband and I are interested in moving to Guam- he's a teacher and I'm a nurse. Thanks so much! :)

Nurse Practitioners and Global Health
I am currently pursuing my FNP and intend to work abroad after I graduate. Do you all have any other suggestions about NGOs and other organizations that hire FNPs?

US Nurses Wishing to Work Overseas
Are there any US citizen/US educated nurses out there who have successfully worked in South Africa? If so, I'm wondering what your experience was like. Were you able to live a comfortable lifestyle with the salary there? Where did you work and what were the working conditions like? I'd really appreciate any info you have. I absolutely loved Cape Town when I was there 7 years ago (before I decided to be come a nurse) and am trying to get back. Thanks!

US School Nurse working abroad
Thanks for your reply. That's good to know. My boyfriend is also a teacher, which is why I was hoping to get a job at a school together. Do you have any other ideas about nursing jobs internationally, preferably in a developing country as I can find sufficient advise for developed countries. What do you do in Thailand?

US School Nurse working abroad
Can anyone tell me how to go about searching for nursing positions in American Schools or other international schools abroad? What is the pay like and what kind of experience should you have? I've been working in a pediatric ICU. Should I get a part time gig as a school nurse in the US before applying?

Moving overseas
Hi, I know this was posted a long time ago, but there is very little information for nurses wanting to work in American schools abroad and I'd greatly appreciate your advice. My partner has been an elementary school teacher for the past 6 years and he was hoping to get a job in an american school. How feasible would it be for me to get a school nurse position in the same school if we're extremely flexible with location? Thanks so much for your help!

advice requested= track to PICU
Hi Belot97, you asked a question I can't answer, as I will only graduate in August of this year, but I hope you don't mind me asking you a question. You mentioned you're a traveler and just got back to the country. I am a traveler and went into nursing bc of the career's universal need, which would allow me to travel almost anywhere (so I thought). But I am having trouble getting straight answers about where it is easy to get a job in the world and how much/what kind of experience I should gain in the US first. Any suggestions/advice you could give would be really appreciated. Thanks!

New grads at Children's?
Hi Ekells36, I've recently decided to move to DC from NYC because of the lack of jobs for new nurses here. You mentioned you graduate in May? When do you start working? Do you need to take the NCLEX before you start? I graduate in August. When do you recommend to apply? I was also hoping for some resume advice. I have a lot of previous experience with children, but not health care related. What did you include on the resume? I appreciate any help I can get, as I'm sure you did before applying!
