I think that system started last nov 09 only, and yes it is still ongoing.. That's their new hiring system, the drop box and computer log-in system was gone.. The hiring process that i am talking about is for staff nurse positions.. They do not accept volunteers, as in never.. @piquant: No, im not yet done with the hiring process.. I havent even called by the hr.. The good thing with TMC training is that they hire all their trainees, except if you are really incompetent.. The only problem is the waiting period after the training, as they do not deploy you immediately after the training.. I have a friend who waited 3 mos before he got deployed.. That's a sad reality..

Yes, they are currently on hiring.. The good news is, they now have new system of hiring applicants.. The drop box and computer log-in system was gone.. Now, all you need to do is sign-up in a logsheet located in the HR office.. No need for any credentials or documents.. Then they'll just call u for the initial exam.. And the hiring process now is faster.. My friend just recently passed the final interview there, and guess what? she finished the whole process in just two weeks.. That includes clinical exam, psyche exam, HR interview and final interview.. Unlike before that you need to wait for at least a month to proceed to the next step.. Isn't that great news?! :) I've also heard that their next batch of training will be on january.. so if i were you, i'll go there asap.. :) Godbless on our application! :)

yes, it is listed as one of their requirements posted outside the hr office.. however, i believe that if you'll be able to complete all the other requirements, they will still give you a chance.. this is because the entry board rating of 78% and above is not written on red ink, unlike the other requirements such as intravenous therapy license and recent basic life support license which are written on red ink.. i think having a board rating of 78% and above is an advantage not a must.. that's just my observation.. :)

BLS Training: I recommend Philippine National Red Cross.. The training fee is P450 for 2 days.. You can inquire at the nearest chapter in your area for the schedules.. As for the Rizal chapter, they conduct BLS trainings every week.. That's what i knew.. ACLS Training: HEART Foundation, which is located at the Philippine Heart Center, offers the BEST ACLS training.. The fee is P3,500 for 3 days, but im telling you, it is WORTH IT, i guarantee you.. You will really learn a lot.. However, BLS and ECG Recognition seminar are prerequisites for the said training.. It doesn't matter where you took the 2 trainings.. IVT: You can inquire at the ANSAP office.. :)

Hi arglen_rn! I also have the same dilemma as yours.. I submitted my application last September-October but until now i havent received any updates from them.. I've heard from a friend that they only accept applicants with board rating of 80% and above.. But this is not yet confirmed.. However, i am thinking that maybe the reason why they are not calling me is that my board rating is below their required grade.. May I ask if you and your friend meet the said board rating requirement??.. I do still have high hopes that they will consider my application.. :) Godbless on our application! :)

To greenstone: As far as i know, those trainings that you have mentioned are not required, but it would be an advantage if you have undergone those.. :) To Nurse_PUKYAW: I dont think they require any board rating average.. And if they would, they should indicate that in the list of requirements that they are giving.. To Pans28: You're always welcome.. :) To hamish: They didnt give any specific time as to when they will start accepting applicants.. I think it would be better to call the HR dept for the updates.. :) To saint_nurse: Im sorry but i dont have any idea where to submit the applications.. I just gave mine to my backer there.. hehehe.. Hi everyone! I'm planning to apply in SLMC-e.rod, though I heard that they will start the hiring process this coming September.. Do you have any idea on how many exams and interviews you will undergo before they will accept you for the training? Let me share with you the requirements needed: resume, photocopy of PRC license, board rating, board rating certificate, class ranking, GWA, TOR, diploma, and 2 pcs. 2x2 pics (white background).. Unfortunately, they are on freeze-hiring.. Accdg to HR, they still have 300 unprocessed applications.. But if you do have a backer, maybe ul be prioritized.. Ive heard that their schedule for the next batch of training would be on September.. They only have two sets of exam: Psychometric exam and the Clinical exam.. The Clinical exam is a make or break step. It's more of MS nursing.. Godbless on your application ! :)

Hi everyone! Just want to ask if there's anyone out there who has an idea if Medical City is currently accepting applicants? Or if their schedule for trainings is ongoing? I wanted to follow up my application there.. I passed the Clinical and Psychological exam last June 2008 but until now I haven't heard anything from them.. I am thinking if I would submit my papers and start all over again or just follow it up.. Thank you in advance for all your replies! :)

I think you should follow up your application with them.. Were you not informed that you can get the results of the IQ test a few weeks after you have taken the exam? This is thru a phone call with them.. You will then be scheduled for an initial interview with the HR.. In my case, after the initial interview with the HR, I was scheduled immediately the next day for the qualifying exam.. Then after 3 days, a staff from the nursing office called and informed me that I passed the exam then I was scheduled for the final interview.. March 23 was the date of that phone call and I was scheduled for April 29 for the final interview.. If you haven't received any phone call for more than a week regarding the result of your qualifying exam, it doesn't mean that you failed in the exam.. You can still follow it up on them.. Luckily, I passed the final interview last April 29 and will start the training on June.. If you have just followed up your IQ test result with them, maybe you'll be lucky to be included in the batch of training last March or this June.. Their hiring process is faster now that they are under new management.. My advice.. Just go there personally when you follow up your application.. They are more accommodating.. Hi! Why not try NKTI? They also offer training program for nurses.. It costs around 7-8k for 4 mos.. I've heard from a friend who undergone training in that hospital that she learned a lot and it's all worth it.. Fyi. IVT and BLS are pre-requisite courses before you can enroll in their program.. But I'm not sure though on the slots available for their training..

Hi! I've already took the ECG and ACLS courses in Heart Center.. & I'm telling you, it's all worth it, even with that kind of fee.. You can really be able to identify and interpret an ECG reading after attending that seminar.. It will be an advantage for us who are able to interpret an ECG reading, as compared to those who can't.. During the seminar, you'll be having sets of workshops where you are given the chance to identify ECG strips.. The lecturers are all cardiologists so you will really learn a lot.. The venue was good plus with the complete set of manuals.. ACLS, on the other hand, was great.. You'll be having different sets of practice codes on how to revive a deteriorating patient.. The problem with this training is that you must be able to pass the final code or else you will not be certified as an ACLS provider, thus you will only receive a certificate.. But you can attend the next batch of ACLS training and have the final code again in order for you to be certified.. Pursue the trainings! You will not regret it! :)

There's still no exact date on when the training will start.. But according to the nursing director, it will be on the 1st or 2nd week of June.. Godbless on your application! :)

To forbeisgunn: It really depends on their schedule of training for nurses.. Like in my case, I passed the final interview yesterday and was told that I would be included in the next batch of training this June.. For example, you passed the final interview in February but there is no schedule yet for the next batch of training, then you have to wait.. No agony of long wait just like any other hospitals.. As far as i know, the training last for a month and then they resume the training a month after the end of the previous training schedule.. All the interviewers were nice.. There are 3 sets of interview during that day. 1st is with a certain staff nurse from the nursing office.. She asked about anything that is written in my resume, future plans, some nursing procedures, 3 areas where I prefer to be assigned in (but she will not ask questions related to your chosen area, lol!).. The 2nd interview is with a nursing instructor.. She asked about nursing procedures and interventions (I believe that it is a type of technical interview that will assess your nursing knowledge and skills.. If you don't know the answer, she will lecture you as well.. 3rd is with the nursing director, which was a non-stressful interview.. It's just like you are chatting with one of your friends.. Have you applied in Cardinal Santos too?
