  1. Hi, I started the FNP program in 5/13. I worked PRN and quit in October to focus on school, but that's what was best for me. There are plenty of people that work full-time in the program. I would say that it is best to start in the summer vs fall b/c it spreads out the course load a bit. The fall semester has been the toughest so far. All in all, I really like the program - no complaints...other than that I wish it was closer (live 40 miles away), so it is a lot of driving to med ctr. Good luck!!!
  2. Thanks, Imadoki! So happy for you, too!!! I will see you at orientation in May.
  3. Awesome!! I got accepted FNP summer, too!! So incredibly happy!! Now moving on to 'to do list' for 5/20 classes starting! Congrats!!!
  4. Congrats, tyousaf!! That is awesome!!!!! I still have a green dot and talked to student affairs this afternoon. They are still updating statuses slowly and packets were going out Friday or today. The lady I talked to said I am not on the denial list, which is good news! So...waiting continues.... Congrats to all those whose wait is over!! Praying I know soon!!
  5. Congrats, IheartICUnursing!! Great news!!
  6. Another day down n no news. Called student affairs n no answer today. They must be inundated with calls. Keeping my fingers crossed for good news for us for Friday!!
  7. Congrats, Julia77063!! U are ACNP track, right?
  8. Thanks, good luck everyone!!! Nothing has changed for me...green dot.
  9. W. Hope that's not the case. Yikes!
  10. the mailman isn't here yet either and it's 6:25 pm!!!
  11. Imadoki...me, too. I figure they are gone for the evening and nothing will be updated tonight. My friend texted me a little after 8 am this morning, so guess they get started entering early. I, too, am obsessed with checking to see if that green dot has gone away!!!! Just want to know......
  12. IheartICUnursing, hers was updated this AM. I'm feeling anxious. :/
  13. My friend that applied to FNP part-time got accepted. Mine still says complete. ??
  14. IheartICUnursing, thanks for the update. Not sure I can take another week and half of waiting on packet, so I'll keep obsessively checking myUTH. ha! Feels like an eternity....... Remember...when you get your packet, please post. I will rejoice with all those accepted!
  15. Nothing yet. I keep checking myUTH admission status and the mailbox.
  16. amz09, I applied for FNP summer full-time. I wanted to spread it out a little bit to lighten the load.
  17. I hear you, IheartICUnursing!!! LOL! I pray all of us get in!! So ready to start this journey.... When everyone gets acceptance packets...please post!!
  18. That is awesome, amz09!!!! Congrats!!!! Are you FNP or ACNP?
  19. 20 ACNP students?? wow!!! I thought it would be more than that. I applied for FNP. They take 100 students. I keep checking myUTH to see if admission status has changed. Nothing yet!
  20. I think you're right...the pictures are to put a face with the name.
  21. I got email for interview last Wednesday and interviewed the following day. She said they will be mailing out acceptance packets the week of 4/15. She said you should receive something in the mail by 4/19. There are approx. 180 applicants for 100 spots. I chose starting in summer full-time. They are still interviewing over the next 2 weeks. Hope this helps!
  22. I applied to FNP program for summer 2013. Does anyone know how soon they send out interview emails/letters? It is March 9th. Thanks!!
  23. I understand your frustration. Don't give up. There's something out there for you. The reality is that people are staying in their jobs b/c of the economy or companies are not hiring. It has improved in my area (NM). Have faith that the right job will appear for you for the right pay with right company. Another thing to do is write down on paper your IDEAL job, pay, etc. Describe it in detail and look at it every day. Can't hurt, right? Best of luck to you!!!
  24. I will write 'no new orders written' in nursing notes for a few reasons 1) to let the RN's know I am aware of all doctor's orders. I also always write...will continue to monitor. It is CYA. I never thought that it was a dig on the MD's.. 2).just documenting that I have spoken with MD, and no new orders written at this time.
