  1. I did all my pre requisite courses at a community college first then took the daytime nursing courses. it saved me some $ that way because the community college was substantially more affordable for me.
  2. Congratulations to you all! I am there now with abiut a month left to go :-) put your heart into it and you will be great! Wish you the best!
  3. So I have 5 more weeks of my RN program it is a 2 year program but I did my pre reqs piece work 1 at time over 4/5 years. When I started my two year RN program I was diagnosed with a primary Immune deficiency and had to have a port placed and started monthly treatment so I took a year off after completing the firat year. When I came back I dont think I was truly mentally and physically ready and I was unsuccessful. So I then went back in may 13 to try again (my school only allows one more try after 1st failure) and here I am Almost 1 year later and 5 weeks away from being done...I am feeling burnt out like my brain cant hold anymore but there's still renal and dermatology to learn as well as some additional psych disorders. In this past year I have been on the deans list for each semester and I keep telling myself do NOT stop now. 5 more weeks I am excited, I am nervous and frankly kinda scared I have 1 more exam an then the final exam at the end of the semester. Looking for encouragement and cheerleaders! I am always #1 to cheer on my classmates but I feel I could use a boost : - / so close but yet not close enough.
  4. At my school in Nursing classes we need a 77 to pass. For non nursing courses at my school those you need a 73 to pass. 80 is kinda steep! But it is a competitive program at schools.
  5. Shift ends at 3:30...but who's counting :-)
  6. Wow... washing others people's plates with out gloves?!?! What a gross thing! I hope you don't have kids.. you could be bringing home lord knows what! I would go to someone with authority and talk to them about the way you are being treated. Are the nurses being treated like this? I bet not. What if you had a reaction to the dish soap they use..it is none of their business if you want to wear gloves you should be able too! ooo that makes me so mad! :scrm:
  7. I am so excited, where I live ( MA) it is such a challenge to be accepted to nursing programs! Fall 09 Was full so i start Fall 2010, I can not wait! :)
