Hopkins!!!!!!!!! I went there for my RN. The resources at the institution are amazing!!! Yes, the city is rough, but you could live in Charles Village (safe and fun) and take the free school shuttle to the campus. Definitely choose Hopkins if you are at all interested in public health or infectious disease!!! Congrats!

About the prereq, I don't have to repeat it because I graduated in May 07 so mine is up to date, I could use a review though....I think the girls i know who were rejected applied in late December, so I don't know...I wonder how many people are in the program this year? I heard rumors that they cut it back? Thanks again for the reply!

Hey Betty, have you received any information packet about the MSN FNP program since your acceptance letter? I was notified of my acceptance in December, but I am still waiting for an orientation-type packet. Also, do you know of anyone else who was accepted? The 2 people that I knew that applied were both rejected. I wish there was some sort of message board for everyone on the UCLA site, I am looking for a roommate! See you in a few months! -Hannah

Lilboboxox, I was also accepted to UCLA'S FNP program for this coming Fall '09!!! I am very excited and quite nervous. I am from the LA area and I have been working at UCLA as a RN for about 8 months. I am planning on keeping my apartment which is about 4 miles away from Westwood (UCLA campus). Westwood is quite expensive so it may be worth it to look at the surrounding areas (unless you wouldn't want to drive to school). Most people in LA use "Westside Rentals" which is a website that has apartment listings. You have to pay $60 for a membership, but it is worth it because the best listings are on the website (as opposed to Craigslist or something else). Have you taken Physiology again yet? I don't need to because I just graduated from nursing school in May, but I am not that confident that I retained enough info over the past year.... so I am considering auditing it. It would be awesome if you could let me know if they are offering a class for the people who need to repeat it so I could sneak in for a little review... See you in a few months! :wink2:

Call HR to see what's going on. Also, I agree that they wouldn't inform you if you passed, only if you failed.

I heard a couple weeks ago via small snail mail envelope. It was an acceptance letter from UCLA SON for the MSN program (FNP not MECN), they said that the "graduate school" will mail official acceptance packets with orientation info in "a couple months". So I guess you could heard from the SON any time, but we won't get the big packet with all the info until mid March. Good luck to you!

I was accepted at UCLA for the Fall 09 MSN FNP program about 2 weeks ago. Kind of odd, considering the deadline for applications hasn't even passed yet. I guess it pays to apply early, it looks like they don't hold spots? They also don't require the GRE or interviews, so it was the only place I applied. Good luck to everyone else who is waiting to hear.

I just got accepted to UCLA's FNP program a few days ago for the fall 09. Are you going to do the Acute NP program? I work in UCLA SM ER and I have met one NP on the cardio team, but they were trying to get up to the cath lab so I didnt have a chance to speak with her. Have yo applied? Heard anything yet?
