i didnt get in so now I am going to take my preq's and try next year

just took the test june 9th did well on math but not on the others the test was ok I am not going to hold my breath though the lady that gave the test said I didnt know how to read! I told her I had a 25 in reading on the act and she looked at me like I was lying. From what I understand they are taking the scores on all the subjects.The person that gives the test is such a happy camper. good luck everyone maybe this just isnt my year. 19 on act no college crappy score on pn teas test

Hello ladies I had a ablation about 6 months ago for heavy bleeding, and had my tubes tied I haven't had anything since then :))))). but I saw these and thought maybe they would work.

Now that I took that test I feel so dumb... I got a 813 didnt look at composite scores Lpn dept said they look for scores from 600 too 800 so who knows!

Hello all. I am not a nurse yet but when I was a CNA in clinicals. I remember my first day, I was in a very small hospital in Mississippi. I started out the day doing bed baths, changing sheets etc. My first patient was a woman around 75. She was so sweet, thanking me for giving me her bath. Telling me I did a great job etc.. The next day I go in.then same thing " sweet as she can be.." I go to my other rooms. About 6 hours later. I go to check on her and I find out she had passed on. Peacefully. All the nurses were upset, she had been there a long time. I was dumbstruck. Couldn't believe it..I believe myself to be a emotional person. When I get mad I get the mad cry. My daughter was adopted in 1998. And I had a job taking pictures of newborn babies. I lasted 3 days. I didn't go into nursing because I knew I would cry.. How do you become numb? I know how to do it where I work I am a casino dealer. I just shut up and smile. I have learned many skills in this profession. I have been called every name in the book..And say nothing. It has in some ways made me a mean person, I think it just made me grow up. But when you work in hospice or see a patient pass away. How do you deal with it? I often blab sorry for the jumbled stuff.

I did fill out my fasfa for 2010-2011 I did get some money only because my husband will be taking 1 or 2 classes.. So I think I am ok there.. I hope.. My latest down fall :eek: ALGEBRA:eek: my poor husbands has been trying to explain it but I have to do it my own way lol the book is stupid!!!! If anyone knows a easier way please tell me I take my ACT on FEB 16 again got a 25 on the math (so I can read) 19 on the science 17 on the english 16 on the math. I am trying to get a 20 something. I currently have a 19.I have been to the library. checked out many books. payed many late fees Books a million loves me when I go there staring at all the act and math books and the nursing books.If only was exciting a a vampire romance book :))). i understand your concern but if i have learned anything its how to survive.thats what i am good at.. i was homeless in 1995. thats how i ended up in mississippi. went to job corps and got my cna. and fell into working for the casinos. i had a daughter that was adopted in 1998. and i survived that..( i think about her everyday) heres the thing about money, you will make more. your lifestyle might change but it wont be forever:redpinkhe:redpinkhe

Hello My name is Lisa I am 33 years old. Soon to be 34..(where did all the time go) I started my journey about a year ago Trying to get into the nursing program. At my local community college. first hurdle "ma'mm you have never graduated High School' :eek: So I dust off my diploma and send it to the school. and they tell me we cannot find your records:banghead: So I go take my GED. Pass that Then They tell me I have to retake my ACT OK no problem. Its only been 14 year how hard can it be :brnfrt: Well I did do better than before but not to My personal standards I got a 19.. I am retaking it on Feb 6.. shooting for a 20 something! So I received a scholarship for taking my GED and getting a good score but in the fine print it say (no more than 12 credits a semester) the nursing programs are more than 12 credits a semester. but hey it was free So and way I have been trying to figure out how to finance school and I do not qualify for financial aid. because I am in bankruptcy. so loans are out. pell grant out, So I plan on draining my 401 k and my husbands 401k.. I will work 2 days a week during nursing school.So I will probably lose my car and my house. Because my bankruptcy payments are 1000 a month. When my husband and I discussed going to school he said go for it. You are not the same person when we met 5 years ago. You seem Like you are miserable.. YES!! I am In A job I detest My soul slowly fading because I was meant to do something else! I had the chance to go to nursing school when I was 20, But I thought I knew everything then. But life has taught me one thing It can all be replaced its just stuff. I might be uncomfortable for a little while but it will not last for ever.So as I get ready to send my applications in and study for the ACT,NET and TEAS.. I know that maybe 2 years from now I will be graduating A NURSE AND DAMM PROUD OF IT! BECAUSE I AM WORTH IT! :p:p:p:p:p

I am hoping for the Fall. I have a partial schlorship for getting my GED. I just took the ACT and got a 19. I took it years ago and got a 15 . So i am currently studying for the ACT, TEAS and the NET just in case. Can you tell me if the TEAS was just english and math? I did awesome on the reading part of my ACT got a 25.. but the math for me is a killer I have a metal block with everything algebra lol....:imbar I am retaking the ACT feb 6th I will have to have all papers in by march 1st for both so we will see ...

hello there! I to have worried about my ACT score I just took it in oct and scored a 19.I am trying to get into NWCC. My previous score was BAD Although that was 13 years ago. I am taking it again and studying for the act and net and the teas all at the same time. It is all the same stuff really.. I just want to get in so i can stop wasting my time in the casinos...Does anyone know if the teas has actual science? or is it just english and math?

hello all! i just wanted to say thanks for all this wonderfully things i am finding on these forums. so as part of my new years resolution i decided to get off my but and go back to school. so i go up to my local c.c. and do the paper work,call the school board in fla for my transcripts and give the nice lady my info. she puts me on hold for 15 min.then comes back on the line and says 'ma'am' we have no record of you graduating high school.:no: i ask are you sure? "yes ma'am".. so i have to send them my diploma so they can research it :chuckle i made a certified copy just in case.. so i start reviewing for the a.c.t because you have to have a 19 in math.and of course i was below that so...i have realized why i hate math(algebra)..and english,so now i am worried i will never get to my goal,i have enrolled in some g.e.d. classes on-line i hope that will help jump start my brain, because it seems now that it is completely blank.my poor husband is probably ready to duck tape my mouth shut...i was a cna yrs ago but my certification lapsed,do you think this a wise career chose with the current economy?

well first I would get go to walmart or where ever and buy what I want and not put It back on the shelf because its to expensive. then I would 2nd..buy a decent purse nothing expensive 3rd buy my 3 dogs lots of treats and get them groomed.. 4th buy my husband something nice (what i have no clue) 5th oh wait I could buy a pair of new boobs for me does that count for him? 6th Be happy because I am doing what I was ment to do, (and not flipping cards):yeah:
