  3. Orientation for RN's is Aug 3 (8 am to 1pm) and LPN's is Aug 4 http://phcc.edu/calendar/
  4. Well dont be to bummed. I'm not accepting that program and I know a few more who are not. So a few spots that I know of are opening up for the eve/week LPN program
  5. Oh okay. I wouldnt say you lied thou. You probably will go there since your in holiday. I kinda between the two. 40 min to pasco 55 min to Dade. I do not want to go to Dade but I will :)
  6. Hey Alex, Congrats, I'm sure you deserved it. Where do you see what campus? The LPn letters tell which one but I cant find it on the RN letter. RR
  7. Oh my gosh!!!!! I got the letters today. I cant believe it. I got in. I guess some got mailed yesterday. I hope happiness is waiting in your mail boxes. I cant believe it. RR
  8. Okay I have more gossip. The "LETTERS" will be mailed out tomorrow! I talked to someone who licked the envelopes. So I guess that means we should be getting them by saturday? The acceptance and denials are being mailed at the same time. Good luck to all of you and hope to see you Aug 3 or 4 for the orientation.
  9. Hey, I would like the west campus also. But I really would like the North campus which they dont offer. They offer LPN and Transition into RN. Kinda weird. Tick.tick.tick.....
  10. Tick.tick.tick.....
  11. Hello all, Well I have some more gossip. I hear that their are 400 applicants for the RN's 48 spots. So that means that 12% of us appy's get into the program. Ooucchh! Also I'v been told that the entrance is weighte 65% gpa/35% Net and additional 5% for Pasco/Hernando residents. Also the board is meeting the last week of June. Take it for what its worth.
  12. Emergency one Bob Kanner. Class is done in the back of oak hospital. 597-8875 Cost $20
  13. Yep, really. My RN letter is Dated June 10 and my North campus LPN is dated June 9 but I got them about a week apart. So I'm wondering where is the West LPN letter? Last year they started recieving acceptance letters by now. I guess they just havn't finished sending out the rest of the letters. I'm going to call tomorrow. Good luck
  14. Hey, Yes, I recieved my RN letter last week sometime. but I still dont have my LPN letter from west campus. R
  15. I just got mine today for generic RN. Plus you have a reciept for yours when you turned it in. Date stamped and everything. R
  16. Thats true but you should also ask for advice when the decision is a big one. Geez, throw down the gauntlet or something. The person needs help and yes you should look for wise people to help. Only a fool would make a decision without finding out all of their options. If one doesnt know if its a good offer, find someone that might. Nothing like asking for help and being yelled at!!!
  17. I was talking to a graduated nursing students and they said that the prereq Gpa and Net carry equal weight. That doesnt seem very fair. 13 credit hours of atleast a half semesters worth of multiple exams and a boat load of study hours is equal to a 2.5 hour test. Anyways I thought I'd pass on the gossip but the source seemed pretty sure. RR
  18. Thanks for the reply. I just cant believe they put a whole 50 percent on the net. Its only one test, for 2 hours and the prereqs are longer harder and require far more studying. I would think it would be a 80/20 split or maybe 75/25 weighted split. Well this does favor me a bit, just cant believe it. I have a 3.9 Gpa and a 93 net. But it just doesnt seem fair with the amount of work we put into the prereqs. Anyways its great to hear from someone who knows. Thanks again R
  19. Every class depends on the quality of the applicants. I had a 3.6 but a high net score so I got in. Admission is based 50/50 between GPA and Net. Do you know for a fact that its a 50/50 split or just surmizing? from what you experienced. thanks for replying, RR
  20. No biggie...I just didn't want to go back and forth. Its me not you.. LOL My brain is fried. I'm taking micro biology this summer and its a killer. I wish they had the RN at the north campus also. Do you have an idea about how many applicants. Another 24 would help. You would think the more students the more money.
  21. I would prefer west but I'll take anywhere. Also isnt 24 per campus?
  22. Okay, but why didnt you just ask those type of questions here. So everything is together on the same thread.Instead of scattering. Anyways isnt it 24 students per campus? I hope its just not 24 for both.AArrgghh
  23. Actually it bad news. It doesnt give us much time for organizing finances. You have to reapply when your degree changes. Like from a AA to AS.
  24. Just start taking your coreqs like the rest of us.
