Don't let the scoring put you at ease... the test is EXTREMELY hard... the math is 85% fractions & decimals.. and the science is 1/3 of the test.. and you only get 60 mins exactly to finish each section... study as much as you can.. I was truly afraid that I didn't answer the 95 required questions... but be careful.. because you can only take the test twice and you must wait 6 months to retake it after the 1st attempt... GOOD LUCK TO ALL..!!

I passed the test... I have to do my application, request transcripts from high school and college and then go through the interview.. Hopefully all goes well :)

hello everyone, I'm taking the NLN (NATIONAL LEAGUE OF NURSING) pre-extrance exam. I took the teas and I passed, I found it to be for the most part pretty easy, except the science.. oh my, I'm a chemistry major and I was so lost with the biology and earth science. I'm applying to a different nursing school (Mercy Hospital Miami,fl) and I have to take the NLN I understand that this is "supposed" to be easier but I still feel a little nervous, any advice? :uhoh21:

I asked about the NLN scoring and they told me you have to get at least 95 out of 200 correct. That doesn't seem so bad, I signed up for it, to take it Jan 19th, any suggestions?

I figured in the long run it saves money and time. I was accepted into the LPN program for Feb, and they has the LPN-RN bridge so I'll be an LPN by the end of the year, and an RN by the end of 2010.. and I don't have to worry about apply for other schools and HOPE that I get accepted... I'm going to do it! I'm going to take the leap and start at keiser.

I live in Sunny Isles east of North Miami, and I just got accepted by Keiser, the school is expense but you can start in Feb and be done by the end of the year.. that's why I've choose to start that because Miami Dade's LPN program already started in August. I figured I pay the extra $$ now but at least I'll be working in a year and not have to wait for another LPN program or RN program.. plus they offer an LPN-RN bridge program. Good Luck.

thank you for the extra boost of confidence, I'm just so nervous to finish my prerequisites and my GPA is not good enough and I wasted another year of my life... I got accepted to Keiser to start NOW in Febrary but the cost is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, it's $6500 a semester... but my father works closely with the school and tells me nothing but really good things about their repuation with the hospital and the quailty of education is different because the classes are much smaller.. but I'm still so confused on making the right decision.. I'm also going to call Mercy Hospital to see how soon I can get in there? thanks you again!

Hello I was actually just accepted into the LPN program at keiser and was very pleased to hear your comment about being satified with the LPN's because surprisely I've heard the same thing. I've been so nervous about my decision to go to Keiser because I'd really like to get a move on my career as ultimately becoming an RN

The school that has accepted me right away.. is Keiser and it's $6500 a SEMESTER! I'm so nervous about the price.. I'm not sure if to start now and I'll begin working by next year as an LPN, OR finish my prerequisites at Miami Dade college and try to apply for the RN program that starts in August and from what I hear is A MISSION to get into to! I'm so nervous!

I'm not sure? I took the Teas for Keiser and I was wondering if that's the test for Mercy.. Can you also give me some more info on Mercy? Is it hard to get into? when does the next program start? I'm currently at MDC and hear so many bad things about their nursing program and hear nothing but wonder things about mercy, any info you can give me would be great!

What LPN program are you going to start? I'm currently researching schools and I'm so confused!

Was there a waiting list for the MDC nursing program? I have all my prerequisites and I'm thinking about applying for the nursing program (currently I'm a dietetics major but considering nursing) I want to know if there's a crazy 2-3 year waiting list or is that just a rumor?? Please help I'm soooo anxious to know! thanks!

oH My I feel exactly the same. I'm 24 but I've already done 2 years at a community college and feel like I've wasted all that time and money. I'm so nervous about nursing school, I'm afraid I'll freak out about the blood, vomit, and bowel movements (eww ). I'm afraid to start a school (I've choosen Keiser which is about $6500 a semester) and not finish, and lose money and head back to community college. I'm afraid of so many things, I even had a panic attack this morning because I really don't know what to do? I can totally relate to what you're feeling, and it's so hard for others to understand. My husband tells me I OVER THINK EVERYTHING... good luck
