  1. I graduated from CSN in December. Alot of my classmates are just now finding jobs and others are still jobless. It helps if you have a job as a tech first. I left to go to Lafayette, LA found a job right away. I also mention this to another classmate and he got a job very soon after me in Lafayette. Just get a job ANYWHERE you can, put in your year, then move to where ever you want.
  2. !!!clarification!!! $4 Evenings/$5 Nights. No weekend diffs.
  3. Hey guys its been a while since my last post.......since then i have been on an interview in lafayette at our lady of lourdes. new grads start at 20.55 with diffs at 4 and 5 for Ns/Ws. Not sure of other hospitals in the area but i am sure they would be close.
  4. Acute care like ER right??
  5. Looking for close to accurate info on pay in Lafayette. Not too curious on pay anywhere else just in Lafayette. I live in New Orleans and attend Charity. After school I want to move to Lafayette(if the pay is worth it). I dont want to move for 16-18 $/hr when I can stay in NOLA and make close to $30/hr as a new grad. Anyway any info on pay in Lafayette would be awesome!! Thanks!
  6. yes BBQ. sorry i ment "about" $30 with diffs. congrats on the new job!!

  8. If you do your PRs while you are in Charity GOOD LUCK!!! Its best to get everything out of the way before you start. I am not saying it cant be done, but if you want to keep your sanity do your PRs 1st.
  9. Yes you must have your Labs completed before you can start. Also say you start charity (ADN program) and want to switch to LSU (BSN) midstream, you cant. LSU does not except Delgado's A&Ps. Just FYI.
  10. I am in Charity now and had to wait a year and a half to get in. I waited till after I finished my PRs then applied....mistake. Charity is a great school, I am not knocking other schools, that is well known and respected. Charity has the highest % of pass rate for the NCLEX in the area and state (not certain). Anyway hope this helps. Greg
  11. Hey guys I am in Charity now and will be graduating in Dec 09. The best advice I can give you all in S-T-U-D-Y and when you are finished, S-T-U-D-Y some more. It's not hard you just have to put the time in to read and study. The instructors are great and very helpful. You just need to seek the help they offer. Congrats to those of you who are starting and good luck!! Greg
  12. i was wanting to get into icu. is $25/hr base not including diff? what is the avg for WOW, nights, weekends? Thanks again!! Greg
