VEEB LPN Program (info request)
Will there be LPN jobs available or will they slowly phase out like the ASN degree? Also, what is meant by the bridge program? Is it the RN program (Helene Fuld) that VEEB graduates go if they've maintained an 85 avg?

VEEB LPN Program (info request)
Nicole1207, I also called VEEB yesterday morning and the woman told me that she has a few applications left, what to bring, and testing. I felt rushed off the phone so I didn't get to ask her all the questions I needed answered.

VEEB LPN EXAM
Hello, To those who are alums of the VEEB LPN program, what were the hospitals you did your clinical rotation at? Did clinicals also take place in nursing homes? Secondly, regarding references, are they supposed to be professional references (work, previous school) or could they be personal too (friends)? TIA, AFQN

VEEB LPN EXAM
If a great number of people pass the exam, how does VEEB choose who will start the program in September? Do they choose the candidates with the top scores? or who can make the first tuition payment?

PASSING THE CPNE: tips from my experience
Thank you kdsharp! I would really appreciate it.

Has Anyone Been Accepted to EC with 50% Clinical from another School?
I was. All I presented were official transcripts from all the schools I went to. No certificate.

PASSING THE CPNE: tips from my experience
Hello. How are you all? I've been reading this post and have noticed that anticoagulationnurse hasn't responded in a while but thought to ask anyone here who could please send me a copy of her notes. I would really appreciate her notes and the 22 file attachments regarding her CPNE experience. I'm far from the CPNE stage but I feel as if I got a hand of something, it will keep me confident and my fears at bay. Thank you in advance for anything you have to offer. Please let me know who to PM my e-mail address cause I know it's against allnurses' policy to post one's e-mail address on here. Thank you.

EC Practice Exams....
I'm trying not to buy any more books. I have plenty from nursing school, including NCLEX-RN books, so I'll use those. Anything I don't have as I progress, I'll borrow from the public library.

EC Practice Exams....
I enrolled in July & under the packaged pricing option, but am planning to take Health Safety soon. I've been studying for it off and on for a while now so I need to overcome my test anxiety and just do it!

EC Practice Exams....
Thanks for your reply anyway. How many tests have you taken so far and which ones?

EC Practice Exams....
1 question I have for everyone. I'm gearing up to taking the Health Safety exam, but is the apothecary system on the actual exam? I don't know if I should study that section or not b/c we skipped it in nursing school. Thank you in advance for your replies.

EC's Enrollment Application
Thank you juleslpn08 & BBRN for your responses. I had called earlier this week and was told the same thing: they use the info for their surveys...to find out how many students work in healthcare and whether F/T, P/T, or not at all.

EC's Enrollment Application
Just curious. Why does the enrollment form ask for employer information and household income? What does EC use this info for?

EC's Packaged Pricing Option
Thank you so much, NC Girl RN. I called this a.m. and the gentleman said that I can complete the 8 exams in 1 yr. I thought I could only take 4 tests a yr. The only gen ed course I have to take is Information Literacy, which I found out from allnurses, that I can take it through Penn Foster. It's MUCH cheaper.

EC's Packaged Pricing Option
Just wanted to find out if anyone was choosing to do EC's Packaged Pricing Option that goes into effect today, July 1st? Just wanted to call EC to clarify a few things. It states on their website in fine print that "students are limited to four exam and four practice exams registrations at one time." Does this mean that a student can only take the four nursing exams in yr 1 and the other 4 in yr 2? or Does this mean that one can complete all 8 nursing exams in one yr but can't register for more than 4 at one time? TIA for your replies.

Lab mnemonics
Thank you, LPN 2005. This is very helpful. I'm an EC applicant and right now, they are awaiting my enrollment application. I decided to wait until July 1st because of a good enrollment pkg I read about here on allnurses.com.

Lab mnemonics
I've been viewing a lot of posts of people's experiences with the CPNE...the do's & don'ts if you will. One question I need to ask...before performing any critical element, is one supposed to say aloud what he/she is going to do? Another thing...what is one to carry into the pt's room? A stethoscope? A penlight? Pens? Papers? Carpenito?

Thinging about Enrolling at Excelsior, Wait till July 1st.
So what if one has finished all nursing exams in a couple of months (as some have done on this forum), and don't have any general education courses to complete except Information Literacy. What is the total cost of this education if one if just waiting for the CPNE? Is it worth it or should one just stick with the standard package?

Thinging about Enrolling at Excelsior, Wait till July 1st.
No wonder the gentleman from EC who called last night asked me if I was going to enroll anytime soon and if I was planning to complete the program in a yr or less.....Told him yes & he asked if I got my enrollment packet and if I would like an advisor to call me today. No one has called as of yet.
