  1. My cousin went to SLU for her BSN and I have been looking at UMSL and GSON. I am leaning toward GSON because there are fewer pre reqs. I like the fact that I am not required to take Economics or any of the "cornerstone/capstone" courses required by UMSL! I hope I can get loans and scholarhships to cover all the tuition and fees though!! Whew- it is a hefty price tag!!
  2. I have been looking at both schools too! Congrats on your acceptances!
  3. Rhollins:Awesome! Glad to hear you're loving NS! Chris is my lab instructor and he's been great. Very available for clarification! He's hilarious but his tests are NO joke! Thanks for all the insight!
  4. Did you take 3wk APII at FV with Chris?! He makes it sound so great.
  5. Oh! I can't take the dosage class because I have a full load, work and I have a 2 year old! 2 semesters sounds much more reasonable than 2 years! I will have my coreqs done after fall semester! Thanks for the info and positivity! I will keep pluggin away! I think I will take the 3 week A&PII this summer! Any survivors have advice?
  6. I have been a lisenced esthetician for 10 yrs. You definitely don't need your rn to do medical skincare and laser hair removal. I'm getting my rn so I can hopefully, work with a board certified surgeon. My goal is to volunteer for operation smile. Skincare is fun and great money after 2-5 yrs of building clientele.
  7. 2 semesters-Which campus and how recently were you accepted?
  8. I haven't taken the dosage test because I want time to prepare. And freak out about it. Just kidding. Sort of. I will check out the calculations book, then go for it. I wouldn't mind amother campus. If I start at 1st available I can transfer if I'm accepted closer to home, I assume? Does anyone have any reasonable explanation for the length of these lists?! The advisor at FV seemed more disturbed by it than me.
  9. Right-I'll take chem this summer and take the dosage test. I can't take the dosage prep class they offer. Any tips for preparing myself for taking that?
  10. I have read some scary things about FV's program and list on here. I think I will get on all StLCC list and StChasCC's list. Still considering the bsn at umsl though.... I just have to get the biggest bang for my buck, as quick as possible! Don't we all...
  11. Here's my question: is one's place on the list determined by timing only or does gpa, coreq completion, dosage test score, etc. all factor in and place one higher? I'm at Flo Valley but I'm considering transferring to UMSL if the wait is too long.
  12. I'm taking college comp2, A&P1, Algebra & Gen Psych. I'm worried because I have to take gen chem this summer. 8 wks instead of 13- I hear its a beeatch, but I really need to so I can on the list! So far I love it, its been long time for me too. 90's (early) and 6 years ago I took bio.
  13. This may be a repeat question: I tried to search it here, but didn't find it so here goes- I am attending St. Louis Community College to get an Associates and RN. I am interested in doing an RN to MSN program. The advising office gave me paperwork that "strongly recommends" that I immediately contact any potential university I would be transferring to so that I meet the transfer requirements. (I'm not even in the nursing program yet!) Questions: Has anyone done the RN to MSN here in St. Louis? Has anyone used an Associates from StLCC to get an MSN from an online university program? Any info regarding St. Louis RN or BSN or MSN programs would be great to hear! Thanks All! Jen
