  1. Well thank you for you history and all you past experience...its really sad that nurses with exceptional GPAs, are licensed in the state of Delaware , and have obtained bachelor degrees aren't able to find jobs in the state in which they reside. ***I know PA and NJ will hire their own first then look elsewhere for future employees.*** Just a thought...... Yours Truly NEW GRAD WITHOUT A JOB:cry:
  2. LOL....thanks... um yeah I just didnt know what AAMC is.
  3. Hello everyone sorry to jump in but could someone please tell me what AAMC ER is?
  4. Hello everyone Im interested in moving to Chicago, IL but Im still considered a new graduate RN, how is the market in the city for new graduates or nurses with 6 months experience?
  5. hello i also interviewed for one of the internships a few months ago and it sounds like i was sent the same rejection letter as tsiasn. the letter asked if i had any question for the selection team, questions were asked and i received no response. and of course i felt like i gave an exceptional interview i have a bs in nursing and a 3.4 gpa. so i don't know what their looking for in their selection process...but i’ve heard that if you don't know anyone that works there already or if you didn’t got to deltech then you have no chance of working for this company at this time. but it is just that...what i’ve heard.
  6. I also see that Christiana Care is having a STUDENT nurse expo on the 30th...you says nothing about new graduate nurses. Im sure they have hired new graduate nurses in the past....I just don't know whats going on these days.
  7. It doesnt really matter but....I went to college in Maryland from an accredited school/have a BS in nursing and im looking for employement in the northern part of the state. What school did you go to/what type of degree do you have and where do you (if you) currently work??
  8. Hello everyone I'm a new grad and just wanted to check on the other new grads out there having trouble finding a job in Delaware. I remember all the past post last from year, with many people expressing their frustrations about finding employment in and near our wonderful state. Sooo I just wanted to know if anyone had any success stories to share or any new recommendations to assist us others that are still searching a job?? Or if you guys just want to talk about anything related to nursing. I'm just wondering how long the "freeze" of hiring new graduate nurses will last and how will we get experience if we can't find employment anywhere??
  9. WOW.....$36.00/hr at Milford must be the pay for an experienced nurse of many years. I do know that the starting salary at Kent General for a new graduate registered nurse is $24.50/hr.
  10. Hi new to the site...just wanted to know if anyone new anything about the multiple internships that are offered at Christiana Care. Im a new graduate RN and im having trouble finding a job in the area so when I saw these listed on the website I thought they would be perfect. So any information or recommendations that anyone out there may have about them will be greatly appreciated. Thanks:wink2:
