  1. It will also not hurt to ask them if you qualify for covid grants for current students. I know it mentioned on their website; this might be for the students who were on campus. Ask anyway, at least this is only opened to current students. This is the lucky break for you all, hopefully, and finally. ?
  2. You're welcome! You are also correct as we are only eligible for loans or scholarships at the Masters's level and on. No free grants for us except for the undergraduate students, even not second-degree students as well.
  3. I am sorry about this mess and I don't see why you can't apply. I pray that you are able to receive all the help you need as well.
  4. I believe that students beginning in the fall semester are able to use financial aid for the certificate program.
  5. You may want to recheck with your advisor as I believe that has been updated, and for current students during the fall semester, you can complete all 250 hours via telepsych. I know someone who will be going this route during the fall semester, though that will be her final semester.
  6. Also they having been completing the official transcript evaluations as well.
  7. FNP Dreams, Are you aware you can also use telepsych for your clinical hours?
  8. I can understand why you upset and would be also if I was in your shoes. I don't understand why it can't be extended to current students. You will, however, get through this challenge with God's help.
  9. Just an update - the zoom meeting was interactive. They allowed students to ask questions about the program and also talked about the next step in the process- getting registered. Orientation will be via zoom approximately two weeks to the beginning of class.
  10. Thanks! I will keep you posted on how it goes.
  11. You're welcome! Know that I am also waiting for the official plan of study. I can, however, confirm that depending on your transfer classes, you would probably be only taking six courses- 16 credits like myself. 2 classes - 4 credit in the fall, six credits in Spring and Summer including 500 clinical hours for 2nd and 3rd semester. They have also begun zoom meetings starting tomorrow. I have mine tomorrow. There will be more dates added per my advisor.
  12. Just to update. It is correct we will go through the Summer and complete the program on 8/8/21. We will still have a 2-month break between the end of 1st semester and the beginning of next semester as well as a month break between the end of the 2nd semester and the beginning of the final semester. They have also mentioned preceptorship starting in the Fall semester of 2020.
  13. Hi, FNP Dreams, Thanks! How was the first semester? I hear we have three exams for psychopharm? What about the other class? Three papers and weekly discussions? I response? Also, $15 per each test? Thanks!
  14. Hi FNPDreams, I will begin in the fall.
  15. I believe we have to 15 weeks to complete clinical. So 3 extra weeks if needed.
  16. That is correct. If you began the postgraduate program this fall, you should be done by the end of next fall.
  17. I also got accepted for the fall. My tuition is slightly under $12000, 16 credits * $728 per credit. Not inclusive of other fees, including books, etc.
  18. No program is perfect. The changes made by Chamberlain are good but not bad changes. The transition has not always been easy but worth it. There will always be an opposition with everything else in life. You can choose to stay positive and make the best out of your learning experience no matter which school you choose. Am currently in my second clinical rotation with three more to go. I've had a good experience overall and if I have to do it again, you bet I will have it no other way.
  19. Look at walden university. They are starting the psych mental health np program this month
  20. You very welcome!!
  21. Yes am taking the classes online. All classes including the electives are offered online.
  22. I started the program on oct26th which the first half of the semester. I am currently taking two of the nursing classes. For the B session I am taking 2 nursing classes and an elective class. Fall semester is from october26th - feburary 28th. A session is oct26th - December 20th. B session is january 4th- feburary 28th. The admission counselors are very good in helping you with taking classes as far as easy, medium and heavy class combinations. It is a completely online program and what I like the most is that every class is offered every session and every semester which wasn't the case with my original program.
  23. I am currently enrolled with chamberlain for similar reasons like yours. I was enrolled in a regular bsn program which I already completed two classes. The minimum credits that I needed to take in order to graduate is the same as chamberlain - 32 credits. The program wasn't flexible and I had to be there one day a week for some of the classes. Finding a job in my state has been impossible and I may have to move out of state, that is why I signed up with chamberlain who took all my credits but because of the 32 credits I had to take 4 electives to meet that requirement since I only need 6nursing classes with them. I almost didn't sign up because of the cost but I soon realized that the cost would be same as my former program if I took it full time and I would finish in 8months instead of 18months with my original program. So far, I am loving every bit of it.
