I just want to say thank u so much uaefan and babanie and everybody on this site that was praying for me and everyone that was studying for the NCLEX. It truly has made a difference in my life!!! I passed the NCLEX friday! I really appreciate everyone for all the help!! Again I Thank you so much and Good Luck to everyone!!!

I just want to say thank you soooo much for your post. I have been so upset about this exam. I graduated last year in May from a BSN program and attempted it in Oct, got all 265 and failed. I am a single mother of two with no job and it is sooooo stressful! I want this sooo bad!! My test was scheduled for today and I rescheduled it for Friday and bc I still don't feel ready I was about to reschedule again tonight but something told me to come check Allnurses, like I do quite often when I need inspiration or to just feel like someone understands what i'm going through. I'm not going to reschedule! I'm going to walk in and take this exam on faith! I truly feel like nursing is my calling, bc nothing else in life brings me more joy than being able to help someone or make their life better!!! So please if possible could u add me to your prayers and please don't stop posting bc you never know whose life, your simple words or testimonies can turn around or make so much better!!!! Thank you again!!!!!!

I have a question about a Kaplan free event. I signed up for the free strategy seminar and also saw where they are having a Nclex Practice test in Alabaster (Birmingham). My question is has anyone attended an event like this. Alabaster is probably a couple of hours from my home, but i'm willing to drive if its worth it. Please help!!??? :grn:

Hi and congrats!!! I am attempting my 2nd try this month. Took it in October and had 265 questions, 5 1/2 hours, nearly passing on all the topics. I was so amazed to see your study schedule bc that is what I am trying to do. I was going to Barnes and Nobles everyday reading Lacharity, Kaplan and Saunders and then I had an accident and totaled my car. So now i'm attempting to study at home. I am a single mother of two beautiful daughters and diagnosed with a.d.d. so between the stress and inability to focus, this is a struggle. I have been trying to download the NCLEX 4000 review questions with no luck, I think bc I use a mac laptop. I'm also reading the Exam Cram that I ordered off line, but my cd doesn't have exams or questions on it, even though the back of the book says it does. pH- 7.36 - Normal PaCO2-58-High PaO2-50- Low HCO3-33- High What would the history and assessment of a patient with ABGs like this look like and what is the treatment? What do I do when the pH is normal? Since that is how we classify acidosis or alkalosis. Is this where the compensated and uncompensated part comes in? We haven't gotten to that chapter yet, but I've already been reading up on it bc I am trying to get a complete understanding of this.

Hello. I am a junior in a brand new nursing program (2nd year new). I am taking 17 hours, a mother of 2 beautiful daughters and not enough time to learn all that I need to know. I've been coming on this site for a while now, never actually having time to reply or write a thread(suppose to be studying for finals now!!) lol, But I need some help. How do I mange all this stress and how do I separate all these classes and teach myself all this material and stay sane? I am considering scheduling me a Dr.s appt. to be checked for ADHD, because its so hard for me to concentrate! But me knowing the little bit that I do know about meds, i'm not sure if thats a good idea or not. (My daughter is diagnosed with ADD, so I see the actual effects of it and the meds appears to work for her) WHAT DO U THINK? I've tried everything else, including prayer.

Its amazing, I would like to tell my teachers some of these same statements and questions. I am in my 1st semester of the nursing program and it is very hard!! So, u all will be seeing alot of me. Since, I have alot of questions, I just don't have alot of time to ask them. Like now!! lol, I am suppose to be doing my assignments. :-)
