  1. Just keep praying guys....you will all do fine..... Hope it helps....=)
  2. Congratulations on you success. I am also a foreign nurse who is about to test for the third time. I just wanted to make a comment that I found that the "Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment" by Linda La Charity helped me more with the Management of Care category and that the prioritizing questions were a lot different and harder on my last exam compared to the book.
  3. I am already 2/3 done through the first tip of Suzanne's plan and have been working on it for almost 3 weeks, I should be done in less than 10 days....I have been doing 3 chapters a day,I usually did not end up reading one of them though because I scored 75% or higher....I make myself do at least 3 chapters so that I can get on with the second tip...you have to push yourself and you will succeed!!! Good Luck!!!
  4. Don't be to discouraged, i failed the exam twice. You need some time off and then start studying again. I took ten days off and started Suzanne's Plan which I believe will help me. You should try it.
  5. This is beautiful. Just what I need to practice my medications because that is my weakest category. Thanks a lot.....
  6. Thanks babyuk1!!! But this is my second time failing with 75 questions, the first time I really felt bad but it still sucks. How are you going to study the second time around??? good Luck
  7. Congratulations!!! Best of luck in the future!!!
  8. I had one on my last try too and I ended up changing the answer just because it made no sense why I would get the same questions again. But I really do not know if it was right or wrong.
  9. I think that's where I made the mistake the second time because I just built up on what I studied before, and I even studied the same stuff over again. But this time I decided to go with Suzanne's Plan and stick with it. Thanks
  10. Congratulations!!!! I wish I had passed with 75 questions, too bad I failed with 75 questions =(
  11. RE: blayzin2 I had all kinds of questions. The second time I had a lot of medication questions and prioritization of course. I took my time the second time i took the NCLEX and made sure to eliminate answers and everything but I guess that did not work/ The first time it was a lot of infection control and some meds.
  12. I just found out that I failed the second time too and I am also preparing for the third time. So don't feel sooo bad. The computer also shut off at 75 both times when I wrote it. I have read a lot of good stuff on Suzanne's Plan so I think I am going to do it for my third attempt....you know what they say....third time's a charm!!!
  13. Thank you MelliNurse, I did not schedule the the next date yet because this time I want to give myself as much time as I need.
  14. Hi, Iam new to allnurses.com and I graduated this year in Canada. I have been reading posts since July 2008 and I just found out that I failed the NCLEX the second time, I decided it was time for me to join and get some help. Both times I took the NCLEX, I answered 75 questions which is telling me that I really have to change the way I am studying. So here's how I prepared for both times: The first time I prepared for the NCLEX, I answered all of the questions from NCLEX 3000 and I read the Kaplan's strategies for the exam. I also took a month review course from a Canadian recruiting agency which basically covered certain topics for the exam. I was preparing for about 2.5 months. The second time I prepared I decided to do questions from the NCLEX CRAM CD and I also read Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Linda LaCharity. I decided not to overwhelm myself as much so I only prepared for about a month. I feel that Iam comfortable with test taking strategies but that I need more review regarding the content. Both times I prepared for the NCLEX, I just answered and answered questions. I have read numerous posts on Suzanne's Plan and I am wondering if that is the best way to go for reviewing content?? Right now I am debating if I should go along with Suzanne's Plan and the Saunder's book or if I should purchase the Kaplan Q-Bank!!! And also Iam wondering how long does it take to complete Suzanne's Plan?? I am determined to work in the U.S. some day so please help because I am not giving up. Thanks :wink2:
