Is this a master program((NP) or a certification anyone can get as an RN? I was wondering. I am starting on a med/surg geriatrics( medicine )floor and this may be something I pursue in the future... I look forward to the answers you get from your post they may help me in the future as well... Good luck!!

Can I get a copy of the list as well? New grad starting next week... I'm excited....

Hey, Everything went smoothly. The only thing I would add is to bring the printed confirmation of your NURSYS (verification). She took the copy I had, but I don't think its required. It was a smooth and quick process. I was also able to get my finger printing done. I got there about 10:30 and was done with BON and fingerprinting by Noon. I drove to each place and had to find parking and then walk.

I think the NURSY( verification system) takes care of our license, so one shouldn't have to bring one. Maryland said they didn't even send paper license anymore, they sent me a certificate...

Hey, From what I took from speaking to the DC board of nursing, it can be done in one day. If one likes, they can give you an appt. that day to go the Metro..PD ( for finger printing). I think electronic finger printing is fastest and the best. i have the application filled out, 2 passport photos, the 280 in the correct method of payment, I think I have to bring my marriage license since I have had a name change during the process of becoming a nurse. I think that may be all, let me know if I am forgetting something. So If I want, I can get an appt for finger printing the same day and hop on the metro after leaving the DC board of nursing to get it done. This is what I took away from the DC process of endorsement.

I have left several messages with different people. The lady I spoke with said a lot of people have been calling about this (lol). She stated IT department is responsible for posting it to NURSYS. I left a message with them. Im done with calling, I;m going to continue to pray, cause God has brought me this far with the journey to be a nurse... We will here good news and will be starting Feb 22nd... Have a blessed weekend !!!

Hey, Under contact info on the MBON website. I clicked departmental phone number and emails and picked a number/name of a person in the department that I was looking for. Hope the info helps you to accomplish your goal.

Update...although my license shows on MBON..it doesn't show on NURSY(online verification). I called n they said it will show up there on Thurs.. So I will go to DC board on Thur/Fri..I think MD may transmit info to the verification weekly, but I would check to make sure they are able to transmit ur license to NURSY system in enough time to go to DC board..

I tested on Feb 5th and my MBON license # appeared today. I had all the paperwork (app, background check completed,etc) done already. They had told me in about 2 days it should show up online when u search for my license. Now I have to go on the NURSY( online verification) and make it avail. to DC. Tomorrow Im going to the DC board to get my license ( the same day they will give me a temp. license). I think u will have ur license by the 12th especially if u have ur background check n etc. done with MD...
