  1. Hi, I'm currently taking Bioethics at Excelsior College, which is what Drexel recommended to me. It's a distance learning class. At first, the content really intimidated me! I've been reading more, and it's getting better. But I still have to take the test to pass it of course. I'll let you know how it goes.
  2. Hi all, I'll be starting ACE this fall. You are probably all super busy right now, but I noticed someone asking about the Excelsior bioethics course. Did you get any answers on that?
  3. Hi again cocobelly, I'm currently in an A&P class with an MD who does the same thing, I just figured I'd always study the diseases involved because she loves to ask about those on tests!
  4. I think you're right about that! Well, I hope you get in! Maybe we will cross paths. Fran Englemann is super helpful if you still have questions, she helped me out a lot. I can hunt down her email if you need it, or you probably already have it :)
  5. They are similar! Glad there are people that understand that :) I'm doing the ACE program in the Fall. you're Spring?
  6. Hi, I was just reading this thread and thought it was funny, Cocobelly, my dad's a physician, and my undergrad's in design. He was pretty happy, too. I'm also going to drexel, in the fall though.
  7. Wow, thank you! a lot of good info to let soak in. It sounds like you are going to do pretty well. an hour drive for clinical? is it pretty easy to find carpoolers? thanks again!
  8. Hi! Reading this thread has been really helpful. I was conditionally accepted to ace for fall '09. Still trying to decide. I'm sure you are all super busy, but if you care to share how the experience has been so far, I'd really appreciate it!
  9. I thought the reading section was absolutely absurd compared to the level of the math section. I barely had time to finish it, and had at least 10 minutes to spare on each of the math sections. I've heard that reading articles regularly beforehand (discover, economist, scientific american) helps. I didn't do that though! If anyone needs a copy of ERI's NET study guide, I'd love for them to take it off my hands (for cheap!) Just let me know.
  10. Hi! I'm taking micro right now, so far I've only needed to know basic cell stuff, DNA transcription/translation, and protein synthesis. Otherwise, everything we've learned has been new.
  11. I'm taking micro and a second quarter of a&p. First, I think micro's easier for some reason, maybe more interesting. Second, I don't think the a&p background is necessary, just a general bio background is good enough.
  12. Hi! I'm possibly starting this Sept at Drexel (conditional acceptance). It's nice to see so many replies with good news.
  13. Hey, thank you for your replies. Glad I still sent it in, as it looks like I might have a small chance.
  14. Hi, Has anyone has this particular situation? I found out about this ACE program two days ago (already two weeks past priority deadline) and applied today. I wish I had known about it sooner! Has anyone had luck getting in after applying late? (my GPA is pretty good, relatively speaking, and I have 8 of the 13 prereq's done) Thank you!
