  1. Hi Nicolep614, I took all my prereqs before applying and glad I did. I think it best to get everything else out the way so that you can devote 100% of your brainpower to the nursing program. My gpa was 3.5 but I think it was completing the prereqs and the score on the English and reading section of the TEAS (85 and 90)...my math and science were both just under 70%. When you start the nursing program, be prepared to give up most of your life (seriously!) for the next two years but on the upside, you'll meet a lot of great people in the program who will become family . Best of luck!
  2. I remember my letter arriving one week before the orientation. So when you do get it.... pay special attention to dates and times.
  3. I know in a year or two someone is going to be in the situation of waiting for a reply from RCC. So hopefully the following will ease your mind, just a bit: It appears that reading and english scores are huge factors in their decision (I got a 90% and 85% with the science and math at 70%). Finish not only your prereqs but the required courses to graduate from the college. I took the exam (last exam offered) on October 15th but didn't hear anything until Dec. 9th. The orientation is being held on Dec. 13th (not a hug heads up). Classes start Jan. 11th so everything we need to know will be shared on during the orientation and everything we need to do has to be done by Jan. 8th. Oh, one more, if you are accepted, don't forget to email your reply immediately. I almost overlooked that little part.
  4. The letter came today, dated December 2nd and I got in!!! December 13th is orientation... ahhh.. that's like, next week. Classes begin on January 11th. I hope to see you there.
  5. Nothing in today's mail. By the way... it's not uncommon to get different answers from different people at RCC. I've gotten use to it. The professors are really good and have years of practical experience which is the reason I'm still there.
  6. Nothing here and I'm only a zip code away. Deep cleansing breaths...
  7. From talking with people in the program, I found that they agreed with getting as many courses (both nursing and college) out of the way before starting.
  8. My application was complete and at the end of the letter it also said "look forward to seeing you next semester". I think it's just a form letter. I'm still waiting to hear from them either way.
