  1. Just curious for my upcoming interview if they ask the question of how many times you took the NCLEX and do they have the right to ask? Can they find out how many times you took the NCLEX? IMO, it shouldnt matter because LICENSE is LICENSE.. THANKS
  2. you guys absolutely helped me a lot.. I THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GOOD INFO HERE AND SUPPORT.... I took my first try and failed at 265 questions.. like everyone else here, i felt devastated and discourage... DONT BE... MOVE ONE and study harder .. i took it the second time and passed at 75 questions.... im officially an RN... how i did it? -i answered all medsurg questions at NCLEX 3500 -did KAPLAN CD questions -a little bit of SAUNDAERS.. ...... and also 99% is prayer and faith to above!!! GOODLUCK TO ALL OF YOU AND CONGRATS TO PEOPLE WHO PASSED

  4. hello folks.. im new here and ive been lurking around and reading alot of helpful information here.. it actually motivates me... here is my situation.. i took the test last week of july and the computer stopped at 265 questions.. i found out that i didnt pass..i was really disheartened, felt stupid, and depressed so i took a month off..now im back reviewing and i need advice. ive been taking : 1) nclex 3500 and im averaging 60-70% 2) im doing bad on kaplan.. i have the old version and it gives you timed test total of 7 exams.. exams consist of 75,75,100,150,150,200,265 questions.. so far i did 3 test..results are: a). 47% b). 57% c). 55% ...... im really worried maybe i forgot some of the content but im also stressed out and also distracted most of the times... can anyone advice me on my regime.... here is my contribution btw: respiratory: -mantoux test for tb = doesnt differentiate between active and dormant -choking = steps : 1). ask if pt can speak 2). perform abdominal thrust 3). activate er team 4). perform tongue jaw lift 5). open airway/ ventilate 6). give 5 abd. thrust -crackles - heard on inspiration and sometimes clear w/ cough -ronchi- heard on expiration and sometimes clear w/ cough -wheeze - heard over inspiration and expiration -pleural friction rub - creaking, grating heard insp/exp over problem area -prednisone- when discontinued abrubtly will cause acute adrenocortical insufficiency -empyema- nonproductive cough and chest paint w/ chill and cough:up::up:
