You are not "double taxed" so people please stop saying that. You also don't get taxed in NYC unless you are a resident of NYC. Feel free to PM me....I can give you an email address. I worked in NYC. Live in NJ. Lived in NY. I know it because I've done it. You pay taxes to the state you are a resident of. NOT in the state you are worked. Yes NY deducts taxes from your pay check but that gets credited to NJ, so you either pay a difference or get a refund. NOW THAT IS ACCURATE INFORMATION.
