Just got an order last night on my icu transfer to please provide toothbrush and toothpaste. lol!! Wish my doc would have written that order when I was in the hospital. Mine kept growing feet! I am not kidding! My nurse was like where are they going? I went through 3 toothbrush and paste kits! Still a mystery!

CC: Insomnia x 2 days Review of med list. Ambien, mind you it is midnight. Did you take the Ambien tonight? PT: maybe, You did not drive here did you? PT: I cannot remember?.

Not ER here but was outside my hospital going in to work and saw a pt with his gown on, getting on a city bus with his IV pump and pole. I'm surprised they let him on, but they did. :chuckleNow that is funny!! Wonder what was in that IV bag that was so important? Usually they just pull them out and take off!

I am sorry to hear you are so frustrated. We had a girl who was 30 come in BP 230/130 pulse 140, she had abdominal pain, a patient waiting (needed refill of Xanax & Celexa) was PO'd because "why did that girl go back and was not even sick" UGH! Poor thing ended up having her gallbladder out. She was not even complaining, just said I am having so much pain, been laying in bed with a hot pack on and taking motrin & tylenol for the fever. Apparently when her mom called her and asked her symptoms mom said you better go to ER ASAP. She probably would still be in bed. Me on the other hand would be screaming and crying my way into the ER :)
