  1. I did it!!! I passed!!!! This is the most insane day of my life. oh my god i seriously dont know what to do with myself right now!!!! hahaha and i am late for work. figures i find out right before!!!!
  2. i absolutely agree. if you feel like you're not ready, push it back a few days and study some more. you have up til 24 hours before to reschedule. have you done the LaCharity "prioritization, delegation and assignment" book? it helped me SO much. alot of qs on the nclex were similar to the ones in that book
  3. LaCharity is essential!!! I had so much prioritization and delegation. Please read through that whole book and the case studies. The rationales really explain the answers thoroughly. I did Kaplan 2010-2011, Saunders and Mosbys as well. I also downloaded the NCSBN NCLEX app for my iphone and that was great as well. The questions were very similar to the exam. I mean, they are the ones who control the exam! Take your time during your NCLEX. I had 75 questions and it took me about 2.5 hours. I contemplated every single answer and analyzed what it meant. the first thing you need to do is reword the question. I think that is the most important first step in tackling them. Those strategies in Kaplan are great!!! remember...you are just brushing up on what you already know. questions , questions and more questions are the key.
  4. well.... i guess i'm not so chicken &%&* after all... i checked the board first to see if my name was on there...nothing... i was sure i failed. so i did the PVT or the heck of it... I GOT THE GOOD POPUP!! I pressed next like 5 or 6 times to make sure it still said the same thing!! I even went through the whole registration again after that! "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam. Please contact your Member Board for further assistance. Another registration cannot be made at this time." seriously?! really?! i never thought i would see that message!!!! i'm not going to tell anyone until i see my name on the board or get my quick results. my emotions are bonkers right now. my poor dog thinks i'm sad hahaha. he's putting his head on my lap.
  5. ugh now it says delivery successful. i'm scared to try the trick...my stomach is turning! :/ it also says in bold red letters "your exam results are not available at this time" is that new since they did system maintenance saturday night to sunday morn?
  6. Plus I just noticed that my status says: "ready for delivery" not "delivery successful" Now I am freaking out.
  7. Ahhh!! I don't want to rely on the PVT until I actually see the word "PASS." I must have done that darn PVT about 6 times today already & each time I get the popup with "The candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time." But it doesn't say the "contact your board" or whatever, so I am worried about that. But I am hopeful, which is a huge difference from yesterday. I keep checking the Pearson site to see if the Quick Results are up yet. No dice. I also tried the 1-900 number but it says it is "no longer in service." I don't know why I did this to myself, taking the exam on a Saturday! Arrrggghhhh!!!!
  8. I took it yesterday. It was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through. Nothing in school prepared me for what I experienced yesterday. The q's I had were absolutely not level entry nursing. Meds I didn't know, complex procedures way beyond my years. I did not take a review course as I heard mixed reviews from the previous class about the one at my school. I made the right decision not taking it, as a majority of my classmates said it was useless and a waste of money. I read the whole Kaplan 2010-2011 book, did Saunders, Lacharity, Nclex 3500 and NCSBN questions. I stopped at 75 q's yesterday. I took my time, to say the least. It took me about 2.5 hours with a break. No messing around. I had to use all my might to hold in the tears as soon as the blue screen popped up. Not one second after I exited the building, I started bawling my eyes out uncontrollably. Putting your whole heart into school and into this exam, and thinking you failed miserably is one of the worst feelings in the world. I just felt numb the whole rest of the night with this sinking feeling in my gut that I failed. The stress gave me the worst migraine ever. I talked to a couple friends who had already taken it and passed. They made me a feel a bit better saying that If I thought the questions were that hard, then I must have been answering them at a level where I was "above the line." I tried the PVT last night and the site was under maintenance (obviously, with my luck). So I made myself a drink and watched The Hangover. I needed to laugh in the worst way! I just tried again after making sure it said delivery successful. I got a pop-up and it wouldn't let me go to the credit card page. It wasn't the exact same wording as on page 1 of this thread but it said: "The candidate currently has an open registration for this exam. A new registration cannot be created at this time." Is that the "good" one even though its not the same exact wording as on page 1 under the instructions??
  9. the program is very competitive. i heard that over 600 people applied for it this year and they accept 55 people for the day program. they did also add a night program in which they accept about 30 people. its because its such a great program and its so inexpensive. your gpa looks great. make sure you also get a&p2 done or in progress when u send in your application. i have everything else done besides micro. make sure you have a good letter of interest. they dont conduct interviews so they really want to get to know you by your letter. it is very important. i didnt do very well on my net test in math but i did very well on the reading part. i also wouldnt hurt to go over and introduce yourself to the secretaries and to atend the info session. good luck!!!
  10. hello. i just started the day program at massasoit. i couldnt believe i got in considering this was my first time applying there and i know how long the waitlist is. i was at brockton hospital school for about a week and a half then massasoit called me and said i got accepted off the wait list. so i transferred over there. massasoit was my first choice and its about. $24,000 cheaper than BHSN. thats a HUGE difference in money. this semester im taking NU101. the schedule is extremely comfortable. monday and wednesday is lecture from 10-11:50am. tues and thurs are our clinicals from 8am-1:30pm. then fridays we have free except for 4 or 5 10-12pm specialized labs during the semester. they staff is extremely helpful. i had less than 24 hours to prepare everything i needed for class since i got accepted 3 days into the semester. i love it there. and its comfortable for me as i am a returning student to massasoit. i heard the lpn to rn program is pretty flexible. i have some lpns in my class now.
