  1. No!! Regardless of what I wrote, stay positive! I didn’t think I’d get accepted.
  2. Hi! This program is really competitive. I think they have 500 applicants and they accept 60 students. (This statistic could be wrong). I didn’t think I was going to be accepted as I didn’t feel confident after the interview but I was offered a seat and we start Tuesday! (Scared to death) I’ve never worked in a hospital so it wasn’t my experience. I’ve been a nurse for 8 years. I got my undergrad in 2016 and graduated with a 3.6 GPA. ??‍♀️ Sorry if I wasn’t any help! Good luck with your application process! Keep us posted on your progress!
  3. nursing is such a diverse field. It is so different than anything I learned in school. I think you should finish then go on for a master’s degree. You can always get your master’s in something related to the health field. At this point, switching to a completely different bachelor’s degree would be expensive. If you go on for your master’s, you’ll get loans again.
  4. I got an email today to confirm my attendance for orientation on April 18th. Anyone else get this?
  5. I didn’t set mine up yet.
  6. That was it. I would send it yourself with a return receipt. Did you get the email as to how to set up the SB student email?
  7. I requested my official transcripts and had them sent to my house. I then placed them (unopened of course) in an envelope and mailed them to SB with a return signature. So, I just got the card back that someone there received them. I’ve been trying to call them to make sure but I always get a voice mail. Orientation is 18 days away! I also got an email today about my student email and how to set it up.
  8. Hi! I was accepted in the summer term at Stony Brook for FNP. It is mostly online work and they place you loacally where you live for the clinical part. I think we have to be on campus once a month. It’s competative as far as acceptance but I know it’s a good program. My friend is going to Penn State for her FNP right now, she lives near Hershey, PA. Good luck!
  9. I haven’t. I’m thinking that we’ll find out everything we need to know during orientation. I wish I knew more about the schedule, tuition, start dat, etc....
  10. I think that you have to create one somehow. Maybe click forgot password?
  11. I just sent a FB request to the group! Great idea!
  12. I went to like 4000 different colleges, do they need official transcripts from every single one? Lol
  13. It is in there as “Distance Learner” check and make sure that’s what you are in as.
  14. It’s probably standard NYS and more for on-campus living. I’m not getting it; I’ll go on and decline it. Also, do you remember the schedule for our program? They passed the sheet around in our interview but I don’t remember the details. Is there a spot in SOLAR that gives the class schedule breakdown? I just went in and it said that I’ve been granted a temporary exemption from completeing health requirements because of my enrollment status. Maybe being an online learner? Check your enrollment status, you should be exempt
