Hi Everyone, Currently moved to Pittsburgh from Chicago, because of my husband's work. First of all I have been having a hard time adjusting to this new city, (I lived in Chicago all my life). I have been an ICU RN for 7yrs and worked in a level 1 facility back in Chicago. (I have great experience and good references ).My current issue is finding a job here in Pittsburgh, where are all the nursing jobs? I expected more ICU jobs to be available. I can't believe there is none or maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places! Can some one in the Pittsburgh area give me a heads up where to look? I would really appreciate it. Thanks helpless searching

The best way to prepare for CCRN exam is with a CD , do lots of practice tests on the computer. I studied a good 3 months. Good Luck:wink2:

Though at times it may seem impossible it is possible!! I am a single mom with two young children and at times it can get hard , but I have not given up the thought of being a CRNA!! Keep pushing for your goals no matter what! It usually gets worse before it gets better! Keep on Trucking!!

I currently applied to a couple CRNA schools. So far have been turned down by two. Their reason for turning my application down was my GRE scores. (My score was pretty low and this is the second time I have taken it!) I have 6 years of expierence working in a MICU and SICU , I have my CCRN, great recomendations, My undergraduate GPA IS 3.95 should I retake the GRE for the third time or just hope the admissions commitee will see thru the standarized testing score ? Please help !!
