  1. I would like to see it as well, but I couldn't figure out to PM you. Would it be possible if you sent it to me as well? Thanks
  2. How hard is it and any ideas on where I can get some practice test? This is the last piece of the puzzle for my application. I have taken the GRE and did really well on it (1340) but I am starting to stress that 1 month isnt enough time to prepare for the CCRN. I have the Laura Gasparis DVD's but I would like some actual practice test. Thanks for all your help.
  3. Hey guys and gals. What do you guys think my chances of getting into CRNA school would be with the following stats. GPA: 3.75 GRE: 1300 ( 780 quant and 520 verbal) While I am very pleased with my overall score, I would have liked the verbal to be higher. Is there a chance that my verbal score could hurt me? I am just glad that stupid test is over with. Experience: So far 16 months in the CVICU at a very high acuity hospital. Lots of fresh open hearts, tandems, lvad's, and transplants. I will have 26 months of experience by the time school starts. I will have my ccrn next month. Other certs are bls, acls, and pals. Is there anything else I can do to enhance my chances? Thanks for your suggestions.
  4. Greetings, I was looking for some advice as far as applying to CRNA school. I graduated from nursing school in May with a GPA of 3.8. I have worked in a busy CVICU unit since graduation and I feel like I have learned A TON. I recently took the GRE and made a 1240. I realize that I am way light on experience and that this is probably the most important component of the application process, but by the time school starts I will have 18 months of experience. The deadline is December 1st. Also, is 1240 a good score on the GRE or should I retake it?
  5. Thanks for all the replies
  6. Why would it be a joke?
  7. about two years ago i decided i wanted to be a crna. i have a degree in marketing so i had to go back and take some science classes before nursing school. i took around 25 hours and made an a in all of them. i got accepted to nursing school and started this fall. i just got back my first exam and scored an 88. at this particular nursing school, a 92 constitutes an a so there is a very real chance i will get a b in the class. i feel like being accepted to a crna program is becoming so competitive that i will need a 4.0 gpa. anyone have any thoughts on this? thanks
  8. Hi there... I am starting to get a little discouraged. Let me give you a little background first. I was a terrible student in undergrad. When I say terrible, I mean 2.4 terrible. I got my degree in marketing with as little effort as possible. After 4 years of selling pharmaceuticals, I decided I wanted to follow in my dads footsteps and become a CRNA. I am in the process of finishing my science pre-reqs. I made an a in a&p I and microbiology. I am currently taking a&p II and chemistry. I will also have to retake speech because I got a D in there (when I say terrible, I mean terrible). Here is where I am getting discouraged. First of all, I made a C on my second A&P test. If I can't ace these easy undergrad courses, how in the heck I am going to get good grades in nursing school or especially CRNA school? Most of my discouragement is stemming from my poor performance in undergrad the first time around. There is no question in my mind if I would have applied myself, I could have graduated with a 3.75 or so. I have heard you can be accepted into TWU's program just based on your nursing school grades (last 60 hours), or your core science classes. How realistic is this? Are they going to look at my terrible performance my first go-round and automatically disregard me despite the fact my grades have been good since? Sorry it was long and thanks for any insight.
