  1. Hello Don't know much about what's covered in a statistics class but I need it for a prereq. The school offers the class on line. Is this doable or unrealistic? Do you all recommend taking it in a class room setting or online?
  2. I recently enrolled in EC. I am prepairing for nc 1. I keep reading threads saying that people are using study group 101. what is this? is it a forum, a study guide, a group of students that study together or what? just wanting to be informed.... Thanks
  3. ok... I have been checking on ebay to purchase the set of college network study guides. I am getting all confuses about what was required before 10-2007 and what is required now. I thought that there was just a extra test added to the adn requirements? anyhow.... i have found some guides, and the explination reads: " the College Network 2006 Nursing Modules 1-6, Foundations of Professional Practice, Rx for NCLEX Success (3 notebooks), Rx for NCLEX Success Handbook and Focused Study Plan and The Human 3D (Extensive Anatomy & Physiology) CD/ROM." Are these the study guides that I will need to buy to assist me in passing only the nursing 1-7 test for excelsior now, for EC post 10-2007? or is this somthing totally diffrent? Thanks in advance!
  4. Anyone taken a traveling position the USVI or Puerto Rico? if so how was it? Im entertaining the idea!
  5. Are the college network study guides the best ones to use? if not which guides are?
  6. oh yeah... by the way, congrats to you lunah for that accomplishment! I know that I will walk in your shoes and all the other EC grads, one day soon!!!!!
  7. Im already signed up with excelsior... i was just wodering. I think that i just ran into yet another nurse that does not like the idea of excelsior. thanks for your research (lunahrn)!!!!
  8. Has anyone heard of the international school of nursing? I understand that the school is based out of florida? To my understanding you study and take online test and travel to the Dominican republic for clinicals? After that is all said and done you take your boards in the city and state of your prefrence. A fellow co worker swears that it is wonderful program and kinda bashes the excelsior adn program? She says that there are many of her friends who have done the program, and are working in the US as rn's; now! If the international school of nursing is a wonderfull program, so be it.... I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of it and if you all know of anyone who has completed it? Thanks
  9. I work in home health... in collin county as a home health nurse, I make 30.00 per visit with no pay for miles. I get 40+ visits a week. I have worked in Home health and Hospice and made 26.00 per hour with 46 cents per mile. Also 22.00 in Ltc. I discovered that in this area lvn are not employeed by hospitals.
  10. Hello I was wondering if there are any LVN in the Dallas area doing the Excelsior ADN program? I recently started and was wondering if anyone would be interested in forming a study group. I am really excited about it! Also, I do understand that the college network is a publishing company but, I have heared that the consepts are great to study from. so... if anyone has the guides that they are not using please let me know. I am looking to buy them. Thanks
  11. I was just wondering.... I would like to know. I recently registered with excelsior. I am only studing for test number one. I would just like to be informed! Thanks
