Larends or Study group 101?
Good morning everyone, Have a quick question. What do people think about the study guides provided by Larends and Study Group 101? Are there any pro's and con's? Are they even worth the money? Any information is appreciated. I'm gearing up to start Excelsior and would like something to use along the way. Thanks for you help!!

Ethics: EC or DSST?
While we're on the topic of Ethics, how much time is everyone studying for this test? I know it will vary based on the individual, but I'm looking for a rough idea of how much time to prepare. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Excelsior currently be evalutated by Texas BON
Sounds pretty reasonable. Fortunately, if anything occurs, it will most likely move at the speed of bureaucracy. I don't want to be an alarmist, I'm just interested in what is most likely to occur, so that I can make reasonable decisions now. Thanks for the info.

Excelsior currently be evalutated by Texas BON
Good morning all, I'm just getting started with Excelsior. I have a few general education requirements to fulfill and all the nursing courses. So living in Texas and just getting started, I'm naturally a little concerned. Let's say, hypothetically, that the Texas B.O.N. comes out with a statement against E.C. What kind of action is likely to be taken by the B.O.N. in the immediate future? How long is the process likely to take? I ask this because I'm getting ready to step up my studying and try to get this hammered out. Right now I'm figuring the process, if any at all, to block E.C. would take a while. In the mean time, I'm getting my R.N. completed. Once again, this is all hypothetical, I have no reason to believe there is any issue in Texas with E.C. (other than this thread). I'd rather be pro-active and try to get this all done rather than just throw my hands up and give up before I really get started. Thanks in advance for your advice.

eBay Study Guides
Hey everyone, I'm getting ready to start Excelsior and have a quick question. When looking at eBay for study guides a lot of them refer to Nursing Concepts and also Essentials of Nursing. Are these one in the same? The way they are marketed, it looks almost as if they are interchangeable. I have several friends that have successfully completed Excelsior using these study guides, but it was before October 2007. Before I purchase anything, I just want to make sure that I'm not going to purchase anything outdated and inaccurate. Thanks for any advice.
