hi lenjoy, have you already applied for a temporary license? Because the CRNNS site stated: (well, this exactly) "A temporary licence is deemed invalid on the earliest of the following dates: Two weeks after the holder has received notification of their eligibility for registration and licensure;" DOes that mean, if you don't apply for a temporary license in two weeks after they told you that you are eligible, it's then invalid, right? I've emailed the registration office, but I still don't have any response. I was hoping silverdragon would have answers since she's registered in Nova Scotia, but I think she's not on duty tonight.

Hello guys and gals! Just received my eligibilty to take the CRNE under CRNNS. Now they are requiring a Criminal record check from Canada and the Philippines. They gave me some documents that will be given to which ever authority here in the Philippines, but I don't know which one! Do I pass the Request form to the NBI here in the Philippines or to any police station here? And by the way, to those that have already been eligible and registered, have any of you done the "truecheck" crimical record check (which is required for Canada) and placed a Canadian address despite that you have never lived in Canada? Because I'm having a difficult time finshing the form, since they are requiring me to provide the last residential address in Canada. But I've never been there, that's the problem. Hope you kind people could help. Thanks in advance!

I know, that's is exactly why I got confused. It's one advantage of being a student, but when I got denied because of that, then I just didn't bother complaining.

I applied for a single entry only. And yes, I did apply for a student visa because I was offered a scholarship in one school in ontario. But I got denied because I wrote in my application that I wanted my husband and son to accompany me. Which was my bad. I definitely provided them proof that I wasn't going back since I brought my whole family along with me. Have you submitted your application yet to the Canadian Embassy?

When I read this, it made me laugh, because I felt rogue2578 was talking about me! LOL! But yes, as embarassing as this may sound, I got denied by the Manila Canadian Embassy despite all the documents I have presented. But since I am an aspiring Canadian, I am not giving up, and still looking for other ways to get to Canada. (thru work permit, I suppose..LOL) But Wahine, if ever you do get approved, pls. contact me so I would know what I could do, and if I did do something wrong with my application. I am sorry to hear that. And it must be frustrating, but I hope not all those that were brought there are incompetent. That would definitely scar the reputation of IENs from the Philippines.

What possible problems may I encoounter? I am aware that in the philippines, a RN is just the equivalent of an LPN in Canada? (according to some threads that I read before). So I was hoping that maybe they will be able to provide me eligibility.

Hello! I know this may sound a bit desperate, but I was thinking of registering as an LPN in Canada, since I am having a hard time getting a visa to take the SEC in BC. What are my chances? Would it be possible to get my eligibility and find an employer that will be willing to petition me and my family? Share your thoughts. I would greatly appreciate it.

My husband has his relatives there. But they are not in good terms, and they live in Alberta. My brother is studying there, but he's younger than me, it would be akward to have my younger brother be my grantor, esp. if he's only a student there. The only solution I see is to find a person to hire me for any position (even as a restaurant crew, or a caregiver) so that I will be able to get a TWP. But it's pretty hard to get an employer on-line because they prefer to interview you in person. See! I don't want to lose hope, but the things happening to me are making me lose hope! Any suggestions??? Or should I just let this go, and move on?

I am honestly frustrated right now, I've been reviewing for the SEC and CRNE for about 6 months now. I feel that I am really ready. But how the heck will I get thru this if I won't be granted a visa??? I feel so trapped.

Do you mean, they will not allow IENs to take the SEC until western Canada really needs overseas nurses?

Need advice. I contacted CRNBC about my situation and the gave me another document that "may" help me get a visa. The document outlined what the SEC process is for Immigration Officials. Do you think this will help?

I approvided a lot of evidence, but I don't know where I went wrong. I need some advice and suggestions. They provided a general checklist of the things they consider when they deny someone. And they no. 1 thing that bothered me was this "limited employment opportunities of your profession in your country of residence" (somewhat like that.) I know having a nursing job here in the Philippines is quite impossible for most of us. So that item will always be an issue. Does that mean that all nurses that will apply for a tourist visa will be denied just because of that criteria? My intentions are pure, and I will be coming back here since I still have work. But why do they have to ruin all my plans...i'm so upset and frustrated. Help! pls.

I was denied a student visa because my husband and son were traveling with me. (Since the immigration website allows family members to accompany the student.) But unfortunately, they denied me because I lacked evidence that I was going to return to the Philippines (the evidence they were referring to was my family, obviously.) I don't believe that my application will affect my tourist visa because it would be such a shallow reason if they denied me just because I was denied before. Here are the following evidence I provided: *certificate of employment with approved leave *my bank accounts and bank statements *my husband and son (who will be staying here in the Philippines) *letter of invitation from CRNBC *letter of confirmation from Kwantlen Uni. *previous travel history If they still deny me, despite of all the provided docs, i will have to go crazy... According to the Canadian embassy, they WILL have a decision in 10-15 days. My father just got his approved tourist visa in 12 working days. I don't see why they would spend the same amount of time with a person with a denied visa. If they see from the very start that the person isn't going to go back, why would they spend so many days? Now, my point is I just want to ask for time frames, and try to confirm if it does take a shorter time to process visas that are denied. Help from others will be appreciated.

Hi everyone! I would just like to ask those people who have applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV- tourist) and got denied if they had to wait 10-15 days as well to know the results? The normal processing of a tourist TRV is 10-15 days here in Manila embassy. But would it take that long as well, just to get denied? I actually applied for a Student Permit and got denied, and it only took them 3 working days to make that decision. My brother, who already has a student permit, had his confirmation letter to take his medicals after two weeks. So from our experience, if you get denied or will be denied, they don't bother spending 10-15 days(if tourist visa of course). Since this is only a theory of mine, I would like to see if it also applies to others? I would really appreciate your help. timeframes would be helpful.
