Yuba City (California) One Stop CNA Program Discussion
I'm also in the area! I'll be starting the CNA through One Stop in March. I got accepted into it last year, but had to turn it down, because of a high risk pregnancy. Time2BeMe, are you still at Live Oak Manor? How is it going? I'm thinking about checking it out..I'd love to get paid for it while I'm in school.

new here, starting semister two of my prerequsites....
I started school this fall, and my boys were a year old. Now they're 16 months. It's definitely tough! I do all my studying and homework between classes, and after the boys go to bed. I'm usually up all night, which isn't healthy, but it's my only option. Do you have someone around to help with the kids? I'm a single mom, so I'm all on my own, and can manage..I know you'll do just fine :) Good luck!

Question!!!
Hello. I am currently doing my prerequisites to apply for the ADN program. I know they do a criminal background check prior to acceptance. A year ago, I was convicted of a misdemeanor, for petty theft. ( I took a book from Target) I have paid all my fees, and served my probation. Would this prevent me from being accepted into the program? I'd rather not waste time with all of the prerequisites only to find out I will not be accepted. Thank you so much for your time!

Question about A&P!!!!!
Okay so at my community college, we have separated classes.. one Anatomy class, and one Physiology, instead of two combined. I am going to start taking one next semester. Would it be too much to take both the Anatomy and the Physiology in one semester? I'm also taking Math 50, and Eng1A. They are 4 units each.. Thanks in advance!

New at this, and need a little direction! :)
hey everyone..i'm 19, and just started my prereq's this semester. i have no clue what is ahead of me. i look at this forum and see things about teas and net and nclex and really have no idea what they are for, and when you take them. isn't the nclex like the final exam? when do i take the teas? nobody has explained any of this to me. also, how many units are you guys taking a semester? i'm only taking 13 this semester, since i signed up late, and there wasn't much available. i feel like i can take on a little more, but i'm wondering how much is too much..i also have 1 year old twin boys, so i do have a little distraction. lol thanks for any input! :redpinkhe

New, and have a question!
Thank you for your responses! I'm so nervous about doing this..but I know it will pay off in the end. The thing I'm most worried about, is studying..or finding time to. I have 11 month old twin boys, and they are exhausting!! Did any of you have yound children while you were in school? How did it go?

New, and have a question!
I start college for the first time this upcoming Monday. I'm going to do the RN program. Can you tell me approximately how long it took you to complete schooling to become an RN? I know it's a 2 year program, but does it actually take longer than that? I have no clue what I'm getting myself into. lol I won't have my schedule until Friday, so I don't know what classes I'm taking until after I talk to a counselor. I am going full-time. Any ideas? And do you have any advice for me, or is there anything I should know that the counselor won't tell me? Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it!! :)
