  1. Hi you guys! I live in Charlotte, NC. I have been an RN for just over 4 years, and just comleted my RN-BSN at UNCC. I currently work in the OR, but am trying to get a job in the ICU because I want to go to anesthesia school in the next 2-3 years. Nice to see some people from this area!
  2. Lost weight!!! Maybe I should go to third! (haha)
  3. I have been an OR nurse for 4 yrs, and I've never done anything else! I am interviewing for a critical care internship program this month b/c I want to go to CRNA school too! I am soooo scared about going into such acute patient care, but hopefully I'll make it through! Good luck to you.
  4. everyone in our OR has to be ACLS cert. too...including the ST's...
  5. I am 15 days away from completing my online RN-BSN program through UNC-Charlotte. I am planning to transfer to ICU/CCU in Sept/Oct and hope to go to school at UNCC or Baptist for my CRNA also. As far as I know, online rn-bsn doesn't hurt you. I believe that online programs make you do a little more work because you don't have to be "in class" and they have to make sure you meet all requirments.
  6. We have ST's checking our crash carts for a while and had them stop while we were researching...the word came down from our safety people that as long as they were ACLS cert. they could check it.
