  1. everyone has their "nitch" in nursing....sounds like you like the direct care....give home health a try, if you dont like it you can always come back. also you could work part-time at acute care and part-time at home health...see which you like.
  2. very interesting....i have a friend who is looking at the sign on bonus in texas right now!
  3. one way to check the validity of what the interviewing is telling you is to call the staff directly. ask to talk to an RN and see what THEY say the real scoop is. This works especially well on night shift. IF the interviewer declines to allow you to do this.....RUN QUICKLY IN THE OTHER DIRECTION...THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING!
  4. yes! there ARE some of us out there who still love nursing! and guess what?....as the shortage gets worse, remember we are a commodity IN DEMAND....there is no shame in making GREAT money while doing something you love....at the risk of sounding like I am male bashing (i'm not)...men have been smart enough to do it for YEARS!!! I would love to hear from any and all RN's...especially those in Michigan! Rock on, Sister Nurses!
  5. I am hearing about phenomenal sign on bonuses? Any experiences out there....good or bad?
  6. got divorced at 40, went to nursing school. have been a nurse for 13 years. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ALL RN'S, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN MICHIGAN OR OHIO
