  1. Hi, I'm a RN, BSN, living in the NY Metro Area. I am considering applying to Frontier for their WHNP or FNP program. Are there any Frontier grads from NY among us? I would love to hear about your experience and how you were able to secure clinicals, etc. THANKS in advance!
  2. Hi UVA Grad Nursing, Is there an online source listing which states a PMHNP can and can not be reimbursed for therapy? Also, isn't it common for therapists (Psychol, Psychia, PMHNP, etc), in their own practice, to not take insurance leaving clients to pay for the service and submit a receipt to their insurance company, for either in or out of network reimbursement?
  3. What is the name of the dual distance FNP/PMHNP program?
  4. Hi Stram87, wondering if you decided to go back to school for PMHNP after all...
  5. DancingRN - that's GREAT!! Are you working at Children's Mercy in KC? Zenman - are you mostly prescribing meds, doing med management, therapy or a combination of med/therapy? Are all your patients on meds? Also, do you know of any distance FNP/PMHNP programs??
  6. Hi, I'm considering getting my Masters to be a NP (FNP or PMHNP). I'm a RN, BSN. My background is in wellness, nutrition, stress management, etc. I'm interested in integrative medicine (the mix of western medicine and complementary medicine), functional medicine, and other healthy living approaches. Wondering if there any NP's among us who share these interests and are involved in these focuses within their practices. If you are out there, I would LOVE to hear from you!!!
  7. Hi BChapp3182, I am interested in wellness, nutrition, antiaging, etc.... I don't find many RN's and NP's doing cosmetics/aesthetics in the NY Metro area. I would love to learn more about what you are doing. May I please pm you?
  8. I'm interested in what you are doing. May I please pm you TPfan24?
  9. Hi Carla, Is it possible to pm you? I have a few questions that I would REALLY appreciate if you could answer... Thanks, Anne
  10. I would also love to know the answer to this concern - esp for online programs. Does anyone know of online programs that STRONGLY help students secure clincails in their geographic location?
  11. Hi, I've read that a problem with online programs is finding a clinical in your location and sometimes this can be so tough that students can't finish their Masters. Does Frontier STRONGLY help you secure clinicals in the geographic area in which you live? THX!
  12. Doodles NP, I'm a RN BSN living in the NY Metro Area, considering becoming an NP. I'm glad to hear you have your own Aesthetic practice! (I don't hear/see much about RN's or NP's involved in this area in the City) I also liked what you wrote about working at a Medispa. Would you PLEASE PM me? THX!!
  13. Hi raza718m, I'm wondering what you were able to find out about distance MSN/NP programs that could work for you in NY. I'm also in the NY Metro Area, considering this for myself. In addition, I'm concerned about finding a clinical as I'm reading that this can be a big challenge. Looking forward to hearing back from you!
