  1. It seemed to take forever for the ANCC to get my paperwork all cleared and my exam window dates to me. By that time I had taken a prep course in July (the last week) and have my work schedule already filled so I signed up for a date in the end of September with hopes to get some studying in before then. Of course they changed the test and on August first so that the questions that were sure to be included in the test when taking the prep course in July are no longer a sure thing. I hope I pass as well. Good luck to you, just pick a day that works in your schedule that feels right....
  2. Remember it is NOT a critical care exam, or a rehab exam, a pediatric exam, a medication exam or a CHI, SCI, CVA, MS exam. Unfortunately it is a all of the above exam. Know the continuum of care from emergency to home health and from birth to geriatric. Good Luck
  3. Got in late last night. Excited to be here
  4. Can't wait til NTI. I go yearly and am getting excited
  5. at NTI in Chicago, they had a focus group that if you attended for an hour, you received 100$ coupon for the purchase of one. I am in love with my new ears. Not only does it weigh less than my old cardio III but the sounds are fantastic. I admit I am afraid to loose it so it stays on my body at all times, but the quality of this piece of equipment is hard to beat
  6. I ALWAYS have my cell phone with me at work. That being said, I never answer it. My family knows if they need me to call the nurses station and they do not abuse that. My cell phone is my PDA, medication reference book, medical calculation and lab correction and reference book and IV compatibility handbook at my fingertips. It is always on vibrate or often turned off (to save the battery) but it is my second most important piece of equipment, after my stethoscope.
