  1. my heart goes out to californians. i dont know if i couldve have ever waited more than 48 hours because 48 hours is dreadful in itself! best of luck!
  2. hey. im so sorry to hear your news. i had taken kaplans complete review and it worked for me. i did review the course book about 3x and practically memorized the whole thing (of course understanding the concepts and rationales as well).
  3. i just took the pharm test the other day and passed. the test was overall very basic. i would say to definitely study your nclex book on the pharm section and thats all you need to know. dont bother buying the NLN book. i think it was easy for me because i just took my nclex a week or so earlier than the pharm test so everything was still fresh. hope this helps.
  4. i got a 66% on QT7 and around a 61% on QT6. Passed with 75 questions.
  5. Thanks for everyone's input. I did find out today that I passed. .. I don't know what happened but all I know is that I must've done something right! Woohoo! .. I hope to hear good news from everyone because I know first-hand that the wait is DREADFUL.. I never knew it was that bad until it was me.
  6. hey guys. i just wanted to say.. please do not feel discouraged! i took the nclex and truly sincerely believe that a test like that cannot measure your "intelligence." it is definitely part luck - your format of questions as well as the area of strength in topic!
  7. I used Kaplan Complete Review QT1: 52% QT2: 53% QT3: 52% (june 7th) QT4: 56% (june 10th) QT5: 59% (june 15th) QT6: 61% (june 23rd) QT7: 66% (june 30th) Diagnostic: 55% Readiness: 72% passed with 75 questions altho i was sure i failed. continuous studying showed improvement and it sure felt good. altho i personally feel the nclex was WAAAYY harder (but many people disagree with this)
  8. IPV is given PO Most live vaccines (rebulla, MMR) are given SQ Non-live vaccines (Hep B, DTaP) are given IM
  9. Disseminated Herpes Zoster is AIRBORNE PRECAUTIONS, as to Localized Herpes Zoster is CONTACT PRECAUTIONS. A nurse with a localized herpes zoster CAN care for patients as long as the patients are NOT immunosuppressed and the lesions must be covered! ADHD, antipsychotics, and corticosteroids can stunt growth in children. Give NSAIDS, Corticosteroids, drugs for Bipolar, Cephalosporins, and Sulfanomides WITH food. Fat soluble vitamins are Vitamins A, D, E, K
  10. 1. how many questions did you take on nclex? 75 questions 2. what study materials did you use? did you take a test review course? kaplan complete review 3. did your son offer any testing (eri, ati, hesi)? no 4. how long did you wait for results of the test, or are you still waiting? i waited for about 49 hours 5. what were your thoughts coming out of the test (total disbelief, certainty you had failed, confident you had passed)? when i first finished my test, i was shocked and felt numb. then i convinced myself that i failed there was no way i passed with so many sata questions and started crying. honestly, i was not 100% on any of the answers except maybe a maximum of 5. the wait for the worst! i could not eat, sleep, or smile... i cant imagine waiting more than 2 days! thats insane! 6. was this your first attempt at nclex? yes. i cannot possibly imagine going through that again. to all those who did fail, keep your heads up! i honestly do not think a test like the nclex can truly measure your intelligence! luck plays a huge part!
  11. im so devastated.. im so nervous to find out my results (even though im sure of what it is already) that im scared to sleep because it will only mean the time will be come quicker.
  12. i totally understand how u feel. i went in today with confidence that i will pass. afterall, statistically 85% of people pass right? not only that, but i studied REALLY hard for the past 2 months. by the time i got to number 15, i already had 7 SATA questions.. i lost count after that. i know it seems to be a trend that people come here and say they think they failed but... i REALLY think i failed! .. im not feeling very good.
