  1. I read my notes over and over again. LIterally. I am doing that now. I have three chapters for this last test and i have read my notes for each chapter 6 times so far. When we have the class final, i will go over old tests and again read and re-read the notes.
  2. I will be out of the house every weekday until 11:30 and then my weekends will be for studying. I am trying to make sure that I dont lose my family over school but it is certainly a fear of mine.
  3. Hello all, I am new to the boards and start clinicals in the fall. I am usually pretty good with school work and am so looking forward to learning new skills.. BUT i am worried about losing connection with my family. I am a newlywed and have teenaged twin boys. It was a difficult decision to go back to school and take away so much time from my family. I will miss the last two years of my kids being home and my husband is ridiculously supportive... hell all my men are!! What would are some strategies that have worked for you to keep the family together.
  4. I have learned to take on the duck way of dealing with idiots like this. You are the duck and their stupidity is like the water that runs off your back. Seriously.. people like that dont need a reason.. they see you as someone who is weak enough to pick on. Just ignore it, they will only do it more if they see how it bugs you. All this advice doesnt take the hurt away but you can always try a voodoo doll and do mean things to it... hahaha kidding
  5. My school you have to have positive titers no matter what. But the previous poster has a great idea. I would look into that.
  6. Allheart.com is pretty cheap too. I got my stethescope and a blood pressure cuff and some other things for clinicals.
