  1. Its pointless to call the doc. Do you have faith in the docs where you work?

    Pretty much all the docs where I work are really good about listening to the nurses. We have sometimes had to call them several times for a pt., but I have yet to be yelled at for a late night call or any kind of call for that matter. We keep saying we are overdue for a mean doc, but so far so good! kind of restores your faith that there are still good docs out there

  2. Low census?

    Our hospital has had about 8 pt for the whole month on our Med Surg floor. The good news is since it is such a small hospital, the nurses don't get called off because we have to have 3 available in case of a code. The bad news is that is makes for a VERY long shift with absolutely nothing to do.
