  1. Unfortunately not! The questions are given so randomly to be honest you will feel like you are failing even if you are passing unless you are absolutely certain of the answer you are choosing. Both times I took it, I felt like I had failed..the test is designed to make you feel that way. Good luck to you!..You will never know until you get your results!
  2. I am thinking about applying for a position at this hospital in the labor and delivery department. Has anyone worked in L&D here and did you like it?
  3. 1 (800) 838-6828 is the number that I called..
  4. My permanent license FINALLY got issued on 10-28! Here's my timeline: Sent app packet off on 7-28. On 7-30, the Cali BON recvd my application, prints and fee. That same week I sent a request for my college to send them transcripts and also sent out the request to have my verification of license sent to them from my current BON. On Aug 22 app was officially started and updated as "pending" on Breeze. I called several times and got the same answer that they were working on apps started in June and July, So I figured I wouldn't bother them until the end of Nov again. 10-28 license number was issued!!Had no idea, I didn't get an email or anything. Today 11-4, I get a packet in the mail with my license info! It took a little over two months from the time they started processing my application. I'm so happy it's over and good luck to the rest of you!
  5. We do 1200-1400 depending on the month but similar situation
  6. Well atleast it didn't take 3 weeks for them to cash your check after they recvd it! Sounds like u will get it pretty soon since everything seems to be moving so quickly.
  7. Just as I thought, my money order took a little longer to clear..cashed by the board on 8-22, cleared on 8-26.
  8. Just giving a little update..I sent my application and fingerprints to the CA BON on 7-28, according to the post office they got it on 7-30. I logged onto breeze with the instructions given by a previous poster. It showed my application submission date as 8-22. I just called the Cali Bon to confirm the info (not mentioning that I already had this info from Breeze), and she said that my money order had been cashed on 8-22. I called the 800 number on the money order receipt and it's still saying that it has not been cashed yet, but I'm assuming since the 22nd was Friday and it's only Tuesday that it will take a few more days to clear. So all in all it took 3 weeks and two days from the time I sent out my app and payment for them to even cash it and start my app process. Hopes this helps, I'll keep you guys posted on everything to follow
  9. Thx for the info, I'm hoping to have my by at the latest November. Kup, I'll do the same
  10. When did you send your application and do you know how long it took them to cash your check/money order? I sent my app for endorsement , money order and fingerprint cards a little over two weeks ago and the money order hasn't even been cashed
  11. All of them really! I don't really remember the chapters and names but the med-surgy type ones will help the most.
  12. On the news they claim that have this "specialized unit" with only about 3 types of these rooms and that all medical personal and family of the patient will be protected head to toe. It just doesn't seem safe enough and it is quite risky esp since there is no cure. This just doesn't sound like the best idea!
  13. #BUMP ..to inspire!
  14. They are actually bringing one of the two Ebola patients to Emory hospital here in Atlanta GA..I'm so shocked
  15. Hi there, I'm thinking that the results are on hold because your computer came unplugged. They will probably review the videos to make sure it wasn't an attempt or something to cheat. They are very picky about stuff like that; getting up without raising your hand..etc. It doesn't mean you passed or failed it just means it's pending review. Good luck! KUP
  16. Hi, I have a question..what was the turn around time from when you applied for the program and then got scheduled for an interview? Thx!
  17. Sorry..it is a book called Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment and the author is Linda Lacharity. It has nothing but those type of questions with a few case study's in the back. Also, the chapters are system bases so like chapter 1 for example would be like med surge, chapter 2 endocrine, chapter 3 maternity..and so on. It really helped me pass second go around so I swear by it. I ordered mine from Walmart.com but you can get it from any online site or bookstore I'm sure.
  18. First of all, don't be discouraged..I failed my first try at 265 and passed second try at 265. In my opinion, the cocktail you need to be successful on the NCLEX is Kaplan Strategies 2012-13, PDA by Lacharity, Saunders review book, and that 35 page study guide floating around on here-that is not endorsed by all nurses in any way shape or form
  19. Its been about 4 months but Im commenting on this thread again to resurface it for everyone because I want to give all of you who didn't pass NCLEX on the first try some type of inspiration because I know the feeling. Read my story on Page 1 so that you guys can understand that you aren't alone in not passing NCLEX, and u WILL one day! Don't feel discouraged..have faith, trust yourself and try it again. The first time I took it was 7-7-12 and failed at 265..took it again on 9-13-12 and PASSED at 265. You can do it!
  20. Ok thx for the response..yeah I figured it would be okay..I just totally forgot since that was the first thing I signed since becoming a nurse, I def won't forget when I get on the floor. I'll prob even just sign the rest of my paperwork with RN too.
