  1. I just wanted to jump in and say Hello....I haven't started in EC yet, I just submitted my application. I am soo excited to get started!!
  2. GO FOR IT!!! PLEASE don't let anyone hold you back from achieving your dreams!! You will regret it..I have 5 kids,,ages range from 4-19,,when I talked to my hubby about going to school to become a nurse (I had no college at this time) he said that was a wonderful ideal and I should do it WHEN our youngest started first grade!! Needless to say I was a little peeved at this,,lol. But I thought about it and decided that I had to do what was best for me and my family. So I talked to him again and told him how much I really wanted to do this,,he still wouldn't get on board with me doing it at that time. I then told him that I was signing up for fall classes and he could either support me the same as i had always given him all the support that he needed in everything he ever done or he could be stubborn and childish but either way I was starting classes in the fall,,and I did!! He finally came around,,it took awhile and their have been arguments, struggles and problems along the way but I now have his FULL support along with my LPN and I plan on starting Excelsior in the next few weeks to get my RN. Our youngest won't start first grade for 2 more years,,I would have wasted so much time if I had listened to him. I'm not saying that it will be easy but it will be worth it.. Good Luck to You!!
  3. I PASSED!!! I can't believe it but I passed!! Seriously I had no doubt that I failed it but I passed! So the trick does work!! Good luck to you guys!
  4. I took my NCLEX-PN today,,I KNOW that I failed it,,there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind. Well after spending most of the day crying and kicking myself I tried the "trick" it won't let me go on to the payment page it gives me the "good" pop-up, but like I said I know that I failed. I will let you guys know when I do my quick results in 48 hours. Of course I will keep trying the trick until then.
  5. Wow, what an encouraging story!!! Congratulations on passing , I am so happy for you!!
  6. I think that different states have different time limits on how long you have to take the NCLEX after graduating. Check with your states BON to make sure. Keep studying and do A LOT of practice questions and that should help. I'm using Saunders(PN) and it has the CD with it that has practice questions on it and it is great, at least I think so. Taking a refresher course might be a good ideal if you can afford to do so. Just don't give up, you can do this!!
  7. I am not a repeat NCLEX taker, I haven't even taken it the first time yet. I think that I am going to schedule it for Sept. or Oct so that I have plenty of time to prepare for it. I just really wanted to tell you good luck and let you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. Thank You so much!!! Big Hugs!!!
  9. Thank you for sharing!!!
  10. I think the 4th Edition is the newest one...at least it is for the NCLEX-PN ,,not sure about the NCLEX-RN though
  11. Congrats!!! And thank you for the great study tips...
  12. Wow!! This is amazing!! Thank You!!!
  13. I start Nursing School in August and my kids are already out for blood,,they are 17,14,14,4, and 3..I'm really hoping that they turn into nice sweet well-behaved children that I see other parents with before classes begin..Knowing my kids though I really don"t see it happening:D Oh well,,good thing there so lovable:redbeathe
  14. I am 32(almost 33) and am starting the nursing program in August. I have always been horrible with Math it has never made any sense at all to me.When I took the entrance test to my college I had to take 2 developmental math classes just to be able to torture myself with the college level algebra,I am taking that this summer. It has gotten ALOT easier for me now,try to get a good instructor and that will help a lot.I still do not enjoy Math but I feel comfortable doing it now.I think that you will to as you go farther into your classes.Your just going to have to work hard at it and don't give up!!
