  1. I just got through my interview and found out that I was accepted today! Good luck and I am sure that you will be great! Just relax and let them know that you are genuinely interested in a career in nursing. Everything else will come naturally!
  2. I was just accepted to Centura Institute's LPN program! I am so excited and nervous at the same time. I am leaving my full time job to pursue the program. I am also a mother of a 4 year old, which is an added stress because I have to figure out how I am going to continue to support him while I attend school. Are there any other mothers out there that have overcome these obstacles? I am really scared, but hopeful for the future. Any words of wisdom are appreciated!
  3. Orlando Tech daytime hours are 8 am to 2:30 pm and night hours are 5 pm to 9 pm. All clinicals are done within these hours, so there is no guessing what your schedule will be like from week to week. I am planning to start there in January. They seem like a decent school- they have an articulation agreement with Valencia CC. If you have any other questions you can send me a message. Good Luck!! :wink2:
  4. I went to orientation this morning at Orlando Tech. The school looks nice and the admissions process is easy. I was hoping that someone who has attended/is attending can give me some feedback about their LPN program. Thanks!!:wink2:
  5. It is $479 for the course and includes coursework, study guide, uniform, and exam. Not too bad if you ask me!
  6. In the state of FL, you don't have to take a class to be able to sit for the CNA exam- you can just challenge the exam. I wouldn't recommend going that route, though. There is a training center here in Orlando that offers day, afternoon, night, and weekend classes. Here is a link to the site http://www.c-n-a.com/ I am going to take the night class starting July 14. Good luck to you!
  7. Thanks for the great info! By the way- what school did you end up chosing?
  8. I am scheduled to interview with Americare this week for the LPN program. Has anyone else attended this school? If so, what is the Interview process like? I am nervous and excited and just looking for little pointers that may help! Thanks!
